A heartbreaking chapter, I loved Jess (and also how you solved the mystery of Louisa, it was Jess all this time, great!) here so much, that she told Sam he was the love of her life and wasn't responsible for her death. To see her and Sam together again was so special, these two were a wonderful pair but I'm really scared now Sam might not want to go back; Dean's reaction very clearly showed he wouldn't survive to lose his brother who is his whole world - "Please Sammy, you need to come back. I can't do this without you." Very true, I just wished Jess could make Sam see his brother and how he suffers, he would come back to him in an instant I believe!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked this chapter. I had this whole thing planned out this way. I wanted to give Sam a chance to be with Jess and find out she doesn't blame him. Thanks. Hugs, Vonnie

Hi, just a quick note for now - I'm swamped with work this week, but I will come back with my review this weekend, can't wait to read the chappies!!!

Author's Response: Thanks for the note, it's alright, I understand how it is. I still got tons of stories in my mailbox that I need to read. Hugs, Vonnie

Mysterious! Bobby found nothing - I was sure he'd find an object left behind by Louisa that was anchoring her spirit to this world. Dang - will have to re-think that theory.

So, is it really Sam's mind playing tricks, or is the object perhaps not in the DeLucio house after all?

Very bittersweet memory Sam had of Jess - and worrying that now the fever's broken, he can't seem to wake up. Whatever is happening, it seems to be exhausting him.

That was sad, though, Sam thinking it was John sitting by his bed and begging forgiveness. Thank heavens Dean figured out it was what Sam needed and played his father for his sick brother.

Hope they can figure out what's going on soon - Sam seems to be slipping away. Dean must be going out of his mind.

Jules

Author's Response: Dean always knows what Sammy needs, you know that. Dean does need to figure out something soon though, or he might not have his brother around. I hope you going to continue to enjoy this. Hugs, Vonnie

"You decided the fork wasn't fast enough, so you took a nose dive into your food to hurry it up." Dean smirked, trying to hide his concern.

That line made me chuckle. And brightened a very lousy day.

Aww, Sammy was doing so well, that was a shock that it hit him so fast. Shock for Dean and Bobby, too. And that violent illness after his dreams - wonder if that's Louisa's influence or something else? Still cant' make up my mind whether her spirit's still hanging around messing with Sam's head or if it's his own mind playing tricks on him.

And that can only be bad that he's reminded of Jess. Makes him even more sympathetic towards Louisa, and harder to resist her.

Not good - not good at all. Wish Dean could get a peek inside Sam's head right about now.

Hope he and Bobby find out what's causing this....

Jules (erecting barbed wire around desk to stop people coming and pissing her off)

Author's Response: I'm glad I made you chuckle, I think we all need that after a tough day at work. By the way, barbed wire doesn't help, picturing them in there underwear does. Hugs, Vonnie

Loved the fact that Dean knew instinctively that it was Bobby coming into the room. His hunter's instincts never turn off, especially when his brother's injured and needing protection.

Good that Sam is finally able to sit up a little - those headaches are crippling. Our poor "cute geek" needs a lot of TLC at the moment.

Interesting backstory on Louisa and Antonio - lets us get the picture right in our heads. And typical of Sam to identify with Louisa, making him even more sympathetic towards her than he was before.

But I feel that this can only mean trouble - if Sam's on her side, and she really is doing something to him, he won't easily break free of whatever hold she has on him. Wonder if there is an object of hers still left in the house that her spirit's clinging to?

Hopefully Bobby won't give up his research mission just yet. There's more going on here.....

Jules (wanting to go back into hibernation after a lousy morning at work...)

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the back story. I tried to weave Louisa's story int the actual history.I love to do this kind of research. I hope you had a better day today. Hugs, Vonnie

Can understand Dean's worry and Bobby's confusion, especially with Sam being so unusually clingy. And these dreams have to be more than just dreams - they're so vivid.

Beginning to suspect it's not the concussion, like Dean thinks. I wonder what Bobby's investigation will turn up.....

Jules

Author's Response: You're right, there is a lot more to those 'dreams'. I hope you will continue to like it. Hugs, Vonnie

I've been lurking on this story, but I finally decided to come out of hiding and give you the reviews that you deserve.

That was a hell of a fall Sam had - can't blame him though, for wanting to be a little independent for a few minutes after being coddled by Dean and Bobby.

But his obvious confusion must have given big brother one heck of a scare, especially once he discovered the bleeding head wound.

And what's with Louisa? Thought she was salted and burned?? Is this something sinister, or the post concussion syndrome that the doc warned Dean about?

Lovely moment between the boys when Dean massaged the headache away - and back to scary when Louisa made another appearance. This time it doesn't sound like a dream.....

So glad to see a real story instead of those blasted drabbles that are popping up all over the site like a toxic case of measles. Please don't succumb to this rampant disease - my heart will truly be broken!

Jules (sort of out of hibernation...)

Author's Response: Thanks so much for coming out of hibernation, at least sort of. I love to hear your opinion. I'm glad you seem to like it. There is a lot going to happen and I promise you, I'm not going to succumb to a bad case of drabbles. I don't never tried one and I hate to see those lines with potential without the actual story. Hugs, Vonnie

Do I like the twist, god YES - things are so desperate and this might be at last a chance for Sam to go back to his family, mainly to Dean and how wonderful it could be Jess who guides him home.

Before this little ray of hope it was heartbreaking to watch how hopeless the situation has become. Still there were such lovely brother moments, Dean holding his little brother and you very well got the sense that he forever is the one who's "still here waiting" for Sam. Special scene!

And again, love Bobby, "...the lonely hunter, who wasn't quite as lonely anymore, because of those two special boys, who had offered him a place in their hearts" (touching and very true) and especially your John, the real John, the dad who loves his boys dearly what he proved by talking in such a kind way to his youngest and comforting Dean - a crying Dean, breaking down and my heart just goes out to him. John is right though, Sam has to want to come back and I hope Jess can give him the push to fight his way back. Fantastic chapter!!

I started with The Hazing and will come back to you about this soon!! LOL, Sabine

Author's Response: I love to read your reviews, they read to me like a great story and always warm my heart. You are always so kind and wonderful. Thanks for sticking with me and making my day.See you later. Hugs, Vonnie

Sam clearly hasn't much time left, alarming to see he's giving in to Louisa by not telling her how he really feels (what also is so Sam, all kind and gentle) and the more comfortable the whole situation feels for him (great dream images, the peaceful atmosphere deadly dangerous for Sam) the more he's losing the connection with real life and his brother.

With John's arrival (and I totally love how you write him, the real John who cares so much about his boys) and the still missing hint how to help Sam, things look nearly hopeless but I do have faith in them, neither John nor Dean (never!) could give up on Sam. The strong and so special bond between the brothers was beautifully shown when "on two occasions (Sam's) eyes opened and focused on his brother, who was always there in time, almost instinctively knowing, when something was going to happen". John remembering feeding little Sammy was a wonderful flashback, very lovely scene, demonstrating John's feelings for his youngest and how alike these two are (maybe this could help, stubborn as both are they would act the same way!?!). Can't wait for the next part!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for another great review. Like always, you seem to know exactly what to say to make my day.

Sam does make thinks worse by not saying anything, he is always so nice and Louisa seems so happy to have found him. I'm glad you like 'my' John. That's how I see him and I always like to have him remember some times when things were better. Sam and John are a lot alike and it comes out in the show too. I tried to play on that a little bit.

Thanks again. I will try to have the next chapter up soon. Hugs, Vonnie

Great chapter! Oh, Sam is now spending more time in Louisa's world than in the real world (and as nice this girl in life surely was, now she's starting to annoy me, scaring me in fact) and only can make it back to Dean with great effort, no wonder Dean is this desperate. His "fevered research" very well catches the feeling of this chapter. One thing Sam noticed about Louisa could maybe help them, if only he'd be able to wake long enough to tell Dean - she's acting a lot like Jess, isn't she, as if she got all her information about Sam from Jess (I might be totally mistaken here, but this search really is looking for a needle in a haystack, very tense atmosphere). So wish John will answer their call for help, Bobby is right, his boys need him desperately.

Author's Response: Thanks so much again for your review. You are right, Louisa does have some inside information about Sam. I will try to get the next chapter up soon, so you will know if John is coming or not. Hugs, Vonnie

Nothing but excellent, wonderful chapter! Things are getting desperate though, Sam's high fever a very bad sign (scary how long it took Dean and Bobby to bring the fever down, no not good at all) and Dean clearly is getting more and more distressed not knowing how to help his little brother. Heartbreaking to see him this helpless.

Loved the little Gatorade scene very much, showed so well what a loving caring person Sam is - how sweet he drank the Gatorade that made him sick to not hurt Jess's feelings - and it also gave us a moving sight of Dean's feelings for his brother!!

But now Louisa's visits are taking a heavy toll on Sam, so wish they can find a hint soon, it sure feels as if time is running out!

As always, LOVED IT!

Author's Response: Thanks so much. You are right, they are getting desperate. I'm glad you still like it and are staying with me. There is much more to come. Hugs, Vonnie

I am enjoying your story.   I actually feel a little sorry for Louisa, but she can't have Sam!  He belongs to us fans.  :p

Author's Response: Good to hear you still enjoying my little musings. I just think you might get into a cat fight with Louisa, because I don't think she agrees with you that Sam belongs to us fans. Hugs, Vonnie

Still like it? I love this story so much, you always give us the most amazing brother moments!

Glad Sam had at least some good time with Dean and Bobby before everything deteriorated again, it seems after every dream or vision of Louisa Sam is getting weaker and Dean more scared - think with very good reason!; it also is harder each time to bring Sam back. But within all the fear you always can feel (and you write this so beautifully) the deep affection the brothers (and Bobby) have for each other and what keeps them fighting and it is this love and trust ("Dean was on his side, so nothing could happen to him.") that will help them through this! Aww, just great, thank you so much!!!

Author's Response: You're welcome and thanks for the beautiful review. The brothers and Bobby are going to be in for so much more yet. I just love to torture them. Hugs, Vonnie

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 04/07/09 09:51 AM · On: Chapter 3

Aww, I loved this "quiet" chapter so much, Bobby finding the two sleeping and their 'accidental" finger touching reminding him of Dean's comfort gesture from such a long time ago (and did I like John's little story he could protect the boys against thunder-storms and pass half of this power to Dean), now as lovely as then!

Also the back story of Louisa and Antonia was a fascinating and tragic one, even more cause these were real events - and you masterly mixed life and fiction here!

With Sam's reaction to this story and Dean's and Bobby's thoughts on this - It reminded what made Sam so special to them, his compassion, his innocence and his belief there was good in everyone, which he managed to maintain even after all those years of being exposed to evil - you gave us an enchanting image of the real Sam, the one we all love so much!!!

About Sam getting better I actually think Dean, who is so completely attuned to his little brother, is right and this only is the quiet before the storm! More please!!!

Author's Response: I always look forward to your reviews. They make me feel good and tell me that I'm getting things right. You are so right about Dean being attuned to Sam. There is so much more to come. Hope you are having a truly awesome summer. Hugs, Vonnie

Amazing chapter!! Loved Sam was clinging to Dean so much and think Dean - even if he never would admit it - thoroughly enjoys and needs this too, and as Bobby stated so to the point it really is questionable "whose need to stick close was greater, Sam or Dean's", a touching sight! Sam's dreams (and I'm not sure if these are only dreams) are getting more intense and disturbing, also Sam is not getting better and I really worry what this will do to him, hope Dean and Bobby are able to find out something about the dreams. Great work!

Author's Response: Thanks, you're awesome. Bobby knows the boys, sometimes I think he knows them better then they know themselves. As for Sam's dreams, they are troubling and it's going to be tough for all of them. Hugs, Vonnie

Author's Response: Wow, thanks for dropping me this awesome review. I'm happy to hear you like it. I will try to get part two up tonight. Hugs, Vonnie

It honestly would be an understatement to say I liked this start, I totally LOVED it, what a great way to continue Right Here Waiting For You and that it will be a multi chapter story made my day even more!

Your brother scenes are always wonderful but here you had one of the most beautiful ones I've ever read - when Dean was holding Sam and tried to ease his pain (and I have to quote it: "There was an occasional moan coming from Sam's lips, as he laid his head onto his brother's shoulder, burying his face into the crook of Dean's neck. Continuing his gentle ministration, he slowly felt the tenseness leave the injured kid and the moans becoming less frequent, finally turning into even breaths, as he completely relaxed against his brother's body. Although well aware that Sam was sleeping, Dean carried on, feeling the need to maintain giving the comfort, just as well as receiving it through the total trust Sam exhibited by falling asleep like this."). A precious moment and proof of deep affection and complete trust, it shines!

I'm glad both Dean and Bobby are so concerned about Sam, cause something isn't right here, Louisa is not just an imagination and as fragile Sam is right now, this could be very dangerous for him. Can't wait for the update!!!!

Author's Response: Hey, you really know how to make my day and also make me flush. Thanks for it. You are right, Bobby and Dean have a lot of reason to be concerned. Hope to have the next chapter up soon. Hugs, Vonnie
