OH YES, Dean is VERY pretty.... This is just a fabulous chapter. I love how you use Tom's pov. Great insights into Dean - the overwhelming sadness and his conviction that he is nothing more than a burden. Gah! Love the insights into Kerri, but I think the thing that makes me love her most is how perceptive she is where Dean is concerned. Wow - serious M&Ms for you for this chapter....

Author's Response: thank you so much, i am glad you enjoyed the chapter. and yes, kerri is very protective of dean, as a child and as an adult.

As always, another great chapter. I really like your take on why Dean doesn't like angels - little Dean is just about enough to rip my heart out! And sleeping in Sammy's crib - gah!

Author's Response: poor little dean, he is lost in a world he really doesnt understand yet and all he has is sammy.
thank you so much for the great review, and i am glad you are enjoying it.

wow, great chapter. What a burden for little Dean, he shouldn't have to be so serious and mature at 6. Loved the reflexions about the angels. And you just make me wanna hug my kid but unfortunately for me she's at school now. Update another asap please...

Author's Response: thank you so much, i am glad you liked it. writing for the child that will become dean winchester is kind of hard. i am glad he came across well.
i love kids and begin around them, though i dont have my own yet, so i have none to hug at the moment.

You are killing me..... sniff, sniff..... what a great job.  I love young Dean's reasoning.  Gotta go, now I gotta hug my kids - LOL  K

Author's Response: thank you so much. i always figured that dean had to be a pretty serious little kid to be such an over-protective big brother.   i am glad you enjoyed it.  give your kids a big hug :)

Can't believe how powerful it was to have six year old Dean talk about his fear of angels taking his brother while he is asleep. Also his fear of the dark was palpable. Kerri was so good with him, because she knows the loss of a mother. God, the story of Sammy opening the car door and John's reaction was heartbreaking. Another great chapter.

Author's Response: the car door thing came from my own childhood. i didnt open it, but i was sitting next to one when it did and i almost fell out. so i know just how terrifying that can be.
i think kerri really does understand dean, but they are both so closed off around others, they need each other.
and ever since 'houses of the holy' i figured dean had that feeling about angels.

Great chapter. You do such a great job with John. I think this may be the most sympathetic view of him that I have seen. I completely agree that while he may not have provided the standard home life for the boys, he did what he thought best to keep them safe. I also really like how you are approaching Dean in this story too. Really glad that you decided to add to it and looking forward to more!

Loved John's fear for Dean's disappearing before his eyes and his ability to see into the pain that lies beneath Kerri.  It's great to tell the story from different people's point of view. You do it so well. Looking forward to thre next chapter.  Jenny

Great beginning. In describing Kerri's view of the world and new people, you have shown John and Dean so well. Nothing like a kindred spirit to bring out the best of Kerri and of course in time Dean. Like the idea of Dean as a mountain to be scaled.

so cool you decided to go further with this story. Waiting for more, in the best delays of course, as always. Hey if you weren't a so good writer, we wouldn't put this pressure on your shoulders, so it's entirely your fault if we're pushing you like this !

Another great story. I love Kerri's insights into Dean. Seems like there could be all kinds of things hiding out there in the snow, though....
