Amen! I have to agree whole-heartedly about the homemade cards and pies being best. I never thought how difficult it would be to find a card for John Winchester on Father's Day.
Author's Response: Hi Shannondoah, Thanks for the review. The Winchesters lives can make even the simplest thing more complicated than you'd think;-) Sue

Sounds about right, lol. You know, those car companies really should consider getting some different cards in stock. Such a cute and perfect drabble ^_^
Author's Response: Hi Rae, Thank you for reading and commenting even after Father's Day. "Cute and perfect" describes the Winchester boys, so pleased that you think it fits my drabble, too. Sue

A great drabble, you wrote the boys perfectly.
Author's Response: Hi darkhunter, Thank you so much for your kind review.

Author's Response: Hi, Thanks for reviewing, glad you liked my little slice of Wee!chesters dealing with Father's Day. Sue

Very true, hehe cards are too normal and nothing would say thanks for keeping the monsters away. I think this is true to the boys, and I appreciate this especially, for not being sad. Thank you! :P "Homemade's best, anyway." - My fav line. Schelz x
Author's Response: Hi Schelz, Thanks for the review and the stars. I wanted to write something meaningful and light (or at least not dark) for Father's Day. Sue

Sue, I can't believe how well you captured the essence of both boys in so few words. Dean snarky but always compassionate, watching out for Sam, and Sam just a sweetheart. Great job!
Author's Response: Thank you for saying that I've captured the boys' essence in this drabble. I'm positively glowing at the compliment. Sue

Oh, I just loved that! I can picture them now in a shop trying to choose a card - Sam wanting it to be perfect and Dean just wanting to get on with it. Lovely, lovely drabble.
Author's Response: Thank you, Dotty. You caught the exact image that I was trying to portray. Sue

Thats nice, they never do seem to have the right kind of card for these occaisions, perhaps Sam would put a picture of the Impala or his dads favourite rifle, I could just imagine a ghost or werewolf on the front too...lol Good one Jacq
Author's Response: Hi Jacq, Thanks for the review and the stars. I like your ideas for what Sam draws on his card, esp the supernatural element;-P Sue

Awww, I love that Sammy has carefully read and rejected a bunch of cards, wanting just the right one. I really liked this: “Nothin’ says ‘Thanks for keeping the monsters away.’” Awww... And I love Dean's sentiment that homemade's best anyway--for pies and Father's Day cards. LOL Very sweet. Great job, Sue! :)
Author's Response: Hi Beth, Thanks for the great review. This is the first Father's Day that Sam's aware of his dad's true occupation, that's where the monster line comes from. Sue

HI Sue I loved this, especially this line -“Nothin’ says ‘Thanks for keeping the monsters away.’” - that made me smile! Cheers Mary x
Author's Response: Hi Mary, Glad you liked my little drabble, and thanks for the stars! Sue

EEK! You're right! I have to get something for my Dad tomorrow! I am a big fan of homemade cards myself, because the store bought ones never seem to do the job. I can't imagine finding the right one for John either. Great job!
Author's Response: Hi Primrose, I just realized I haven't bought or sent my card yet, and maybe there's other procrastinators that need the reminder. Glad you liked my little drabble. Sue

Aw..! That's really cute, Sue. I like it.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review and the Aw... Wee!chesters just bring out the Aw... in me, too. Sue
