Nice little drabble - makes me kinda sad, though. Not sure who I wanna feel sorry for. Wouldn't have thought to use Adam, either. Good job!
Author's Response: I think this is one of those situations where no one gets to be happy in the end. Thank you so much for your review!

Ack!!! I hate reminders of Adam. They make me so mad at John. And darn you for making the kid so sweet and likable. This was really bittersweet. I think I need to go cry now. Well done!
Author's Response: I didn't mean to make sad! But I'm not sorry either :) I didn't like what John did either, but I still love him. Thank you so much for reviewing! Julie

::grumbles:: this makes me not like john. i get why he didn't tell the boys about adam, but still, the secrecy! but very well done. i like it!
Author's Response: I DO like John. He was imperfect, and wrong in so many ways, but he was also a hero. It's what makes him interesting. Thank you so much for your review!

Man that hurts, to see a moment where John lied, denying Sam and Dean a truth they deserved. I also felt sorry for Adam too...another son is not nothing, he dismissed Adam and the boys, its so sad. Thanks for sharing x
Author's Response: Oh, I agree. I thought it was incredibly cruel of John to not tell the boys about Adam- and vice versa. Thank you for your review!

It's somehow comforting that John didn't answer Adam's calls either but still so sad that he never told Dean and Sam about him. Good angle on the drabble, I hadn't even considered Adam's point of view.
Author's Response: I love John, but he is definitely a flawed hero. It's what makes him so interesting. Thank you for your review!

Oh, really interesting idea, there, Primrose. Makes me wonder what Dean caught in John's expression, that made him ask if everything was okay. Sue
Author's Response: I wondered that too! I played with descriptions of what his expression would be, but nothing worked. I think it was just one of those unreadable combinations of a lot of feelings, which is why Dean noticed. Thank you for your review! Julie

Interesting that Adam got "normal" (ball games and such) and Sam and Dean didn't. I like how you continued that.
Author's Response: I always thought that was incredibly unfair of John, even though I understand why he did it. Thank you so much for your review!

Hey Primrose I get to leave you a review for a change! I like that it was Adam you chose, a little outside of the box thinking by picking the third son. Nice. I liked this and freakily enough I had just posted something of a similar nature when I read this...well it was a phone message thingy at least! Thanks for this, Mary x
Author's Response: Hi, Mary! I am so happy to see your review- thank you! I was wracking my brain trying to come up with something for this challenge, and it finally hit me to try Adam at 3 in the morning one night. The phone angle comes naturally of course because that's the only way the boys communicated with John except for just a few episodes. It's a HUGE part of their relationship with their father. If you're interested, I have a few stories that are longer than a hundred words too. I was trying some more out-of-the-box thinking for them, and I was pleased with the results. They're So You Want to Hear a Story, Playing Orpheus, and Omie Wise. I'm excited to see what you've written too. See you there! Julie

A drabble and a tag sort of, in one. I could imagine that happening, good one
Author's Response: Thank you! I could picture this happening too- how John managed to keep that secret is beyond me, but they have all been very good at secrets. I'm glad you liked it!

A very good drabble.
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! I haven't done much with drabbles before, and they are not as easy as they look, that's for sure! I'm glad you liked it!
