How very sweet! And I think it's the truth - John wasn't really the greatest dad a lot of the time, but Sam and Dean meant more to him than anything. Nicely done! ^^

I LOVED this. SOOO sweet. And it looks like you and I were among the few who did happy-ish drabbles for the holiday. *high five* I especially liked this: "These were the little moments that kept him fighting. To John, family was his everything." Awww...sweet. Like you, I try to portray John as a loving father. He wasn't perfect, by any means, but I do think he loved his boys and tried to do his best by them. Loved your portrayal of him here. Great, great job!

These drabbles are killing me, such painful truths, I miss John more than I should. Love the carved Impala, carved with broken stakes. Nice touch! The last line killed me...I really liked it! Thanks for sharing x

I definitely like stories that represent the small moments John had with his boys, no matter what has happened in the latter series, his boys were everything to him. I love this drabble, very sweet.
