Whoa, not sure how I missed this one. Really good job of capturing Sam's seesawing emotions, and I can so see him doing this. It's a strong echo of his behavior in A Very Supernatural Christmas, too. Sue

Awwww man, so heart breaking, J! This story is so true to the life we know, Dean telling Sam that their dad was a hero, only to spend that special day without him, which was probably the case most of the time. It's so heart wrenching to know, the next year that Sam didn't make a card, another glimpse into what made the boys the way they were with John. Thanks for sharing x

You realise you've just killed me! It's moments like this I want to shoot John for his thoughtlessness. I've now got a picture of little Sammy's face falling. Thank goodness he's got Dean!

Awww, that's so sad. Poor Sammy. This just broke my heart for him. Glad he gave the card to Dean, though, he would've appreciated the hard work involved.
