Fabulous! I didn't catch on that it was soemthing supernatural making everyone depressed. What an incredible story! The last lines were especially great!
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I like to think of it as the Collector simply bringing out what is already inside of Dean and the others, the sorrow they try so hard to hide.

Wow, awesome story, love the way you stitched the episodes' words together in Dean's mind to form a haunting, devastating path to self-destruction. So glad that Sam came in time to save the day. Did you invent the Tear Collector or is that a "real" monster? Sue
Author's Response: Thank, Sue. I bow to the greatness of the Supernatural writers. The Tear Collector’s a figment of my overactive imagination, but I did have inspiration from the quaint Victorian custom of collecting tears for a loved one in small glass or crystal vials, the lyrics of a Poets of the Fall Song, “Sleeps in the hallowed ground now, With the autumn's browns leaves, With the one who never grieves”, Irish and Scottish folk lore on Banshees and my friend, The Kavanaugh. Daring to cry for someone other than a member of the five major Irish families, Mor-Rioghain is punished and in effect, becomes a banshee that cannot wail, only able to grieve through someone else’s loss and if all goes well, she just may show up in a book of her own.

i really liked this. i was loving just dean's reflections on everything, with or without the part of the tear collector. and i love love love anything that shows the bond between the brothers, so the ending was perfect. well done!
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I brought in the tear collector because even with everything he's been through, I feel Dean is still too strong to hit rock bottom without a little help. My hope for season 5 is that they've come full circle and that they realize that they just may be able to save the world...if they do it together.

Wonderful 'journey' all the way from season one to this very moment in time! You had me there, sitting in that bar, watching Dean's memories and the emotions they rip from him. The pain reflected within his eyes hit my heart. Well done! Thank you so much for sharing!
Author's Response: I love it when a review is so eloquently written that it's like a tiny story in itself. Thank you so much.

That was a terribly sad story but beautifully written, Thanks.
Author's Response: Thank you for your kind review. I appreciate it so much.

This has to be one of the most powerful pieces I've read in quite a while. It actually sent a shiver down my spine. and my only regret is that I read it first thing in the morning- cause now I'm kinda sad. But on the bright side- I hope those last lines ARE truly echoed in this upcoming season. I- for one- am sick of the brothers being separated. Well done!
Author's Response: !-- @page { size: 8.5in 11in; margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } --> Thank you so much,Tree. I'm humbled to be in the company of such talented writers and was so pleased to have ended up in that coveted little box that I actually squeed. I'm such an UnGen fangirl! And if you're still feeling sad, I recommend a drink but beware of what's tending bar.
