You really got me with the keys. I never suspected that Gordon had them.

Come on, John - break a damned window! Get it together for your boys! I hate Gordon - I really, really hate Gordon. Can we make this AU and have him die an extremely horrible, messy, painful death? I'll give you bare-chested Sam pics... Dean's memories of his father and the time before the fire were so bittersweet, as was his wish that his dad and Sammy would get along. Unfortunately those two are just too much alike for that to happen. Now, hun, don't forget to consider my request to kill Gordon - inch by tiny repulsive inch - are you taking suggestions on the manner of his demise? I have an evil brain - I could come up with something..... Bare-chested Sammy pics, hun..... Jules

Really loved the mental image of John tucking his boys in, and then realising that he was unconsciously doing it. I hope that John hands Gordon his a*se on a plate for what he's done to the boys. Thank heavens it wasn't too late for him to snap out of his little "Gordon's the greatest" fantasy and see what the sod was up to. But he's still out there somewhere, and that can't be good, not with both boys injured. And how sweetly sad was Sammy's wish to speak better, and Dean's comfort and assurance? I hope John hurries back.... Jules

Three brilliant chapters, loved John's tender words to Sam, it's nice to see John's softer side.

Ah, shite - John, don't leave Sammy alone! Oh, that's not good - not good at all. Dean's down, John's wobbling, Sam's badly hurt, and that psycho Walker's running around loose and evil-intentioned. I just bet he's hoping to find Sam on his own to finish him off so he can't tell his father what Gordon had done to him. I hope the Wendigo eats him before he gets to Sammy. Love John's tender moment - "Daddy will be right back, baby." Hope he keeps to that promise.......
Hey, fellow SH girl! I owe you a couple of back-issue reviews - I'll catch up, I promise. Jules

I liked your word choice for describing Sam's deteriorating condition.

He recognized the scents that were Dean, and Dean alone - gun oil, old spice, and leather. He'd smelled it his whole life, took it for what it was, safety, love, and home. What a great way to describe Dean!

Yeah, you go and get him John, he deserves every thing he's going to get, great update.

I liked your word choice for describing the fire. Good play by Gordon pretending that he and Sam were attacked to hide his true motives. I liked how you had John figuring out what happened to Sam. Poor Sammy!

I liked the way you described Gordon's decapitation of the Wendigo. Very gory! Loved this word choice-the night was dark, a velvet black blanket hovering against them. Poor Sammy!

Two excellent chapters, i wouldn't like to be in Gordon's shoes when John and Dean find out what he's done.

Poor Sam, hurry up John and Dean.
Reviewer: mizpah (Signed) · Date: 26/10/09 10:36 PM · On: Chapter 8
Sam's right - the bloke is completely psycho. I hope John and Dean get there before the next Wendigo arrives - I have a feeling that Gordon won't be as dilligent about shooting the thing before it hurts Sam next time. Oh, Sammy....*chews nails worriedly*... Jules

Finally! And no, John, Sammy's far from fine - freakin' Walker just hit him with a freakin' shotgun, for freak's sake!!!!!! Oh, Sammy - after the accident and now this - he's never going to look at his father the same way again - if he makes it to morning.... Hurry, Dean! Jules

Yeah, I'll bet he'll take care of Sam - in the worst possible way. John's going to be so damned furious when he finds out all Walker intended was to use his youngest as bait so he could get his damned Wendigo hides. The man can't be trusted! Dean knows something's going on - I just hope he can convince his father to listen to him before it's too late. Oh, loved the little scene in the tent with Sammy practicing his words after Dean's encouragement and reassurance.

I hate Walker with a passion. He's definitely up to something, and John's too blind to see it. That was just damned rude, ordering Sam around like he'd only been brought along to do Walker's bidding. Thank God for Dean - but somehow I don't think he's going to be allowed to step in before something bad happens..... Jules

Poor Sam's so exhausted and embarrassed about his stutter. Why can't John see what this hunt is doing to both his boys? And I'm with Dean - when did John become BFF with an a*sehole like Walker? This is going to come back and bite him on the bum - I remember Ellen's warning to Sam not to work with the man, as all he does is get people around him hurt. John's going to regret this. Loved the little brotherly moment with the blankets - but now it looks like Dean's thoughtfulness is going to backfire. What an a*se Walker is, slamming the door and scaring the crap out of Sammy. Can I hope that the Wendigoes eat him? Jules

I'd like to smack John upside the head - with the Impala....how could he just sit there and let that plick smart-mouth his baby boy? I have a feeling this is going to get very nasty. Walker's bad news - John's going to regret hooking up with him big-time. Thank heavens for big brother Dean. At least Sammy's got him to lean on - he's going to need him, isn't he? Jules
