I can't believe you killed him either! I usually cannot read death fics (I know I was warned!), but curiosity gets the better of me sometimes. And it's because I can't handle the pain either Sam OR Dean would experience if one of them was lost that I can't read the fics. Because it would be eternal pain, exactly as you said. So...well done!
