Hey Hun

Well drabbles are lovely, i write 'em and love 'em. They are teasingly exquisite glimpses in time. If this is a longer story tho...I'm gonna need more real soon!

Author's Response:

Hey there, thanks for coming over to check out my story, I really appreciate the review you left. Never fear, the way I've set this up, each chapter gets progressively longer as more and more of the story is revealed.

I have been doing a story told in drabbles, though, if you want to check it out. It's called "Not So Drunk as You Think I Am." As a fellow drabbler, I'd love to hear what you think!

I plan to get another part of this up in a couple of days. Hope to see you back here then! :) Thanks again!

Yippee, more story to peruse. I like 'wing-compressed wind', a unique turn of phrase. Also like the word echo you've got going back to the first chapter when Dean's remembering his dream.  At least, I'm assuming it's Dean who's the amnesiac, but now you've added the other bro and his words sure sound Dean-ish. So, I'm wondering if you've pulled a bait-and-switch and it'll turn out to be Sam who's the amnesia victim?  More, more, more!

Sue

Author's Response:

Hey there, Sue! I'm really glad you're still enjoying the story. And I'm glad you liked the "wing-compressed wind" and the echo back to chapter one. Working under a word count does produce some nice phrases, I've found, that I wouldn't have normally used, but had to in order to stay under my limit. LOL

Hmm...which brother is which? Who can say? (Well, I can, but I won't. LOL)

I plan to get another chapter of this up soon--hopefully in the next few days. Hope to see you back here then! :)

Scales?  What were they fighting?  Hmmmm.....You've managed to make things pretty exciting for just a hundred words.   I can't wait for more.

Author's Response:

Hey there! Thanks for venturing over to check this out, I really appreciate it! I'm glad you're still enjoying the story.

Actually, this chapter was 200 words. I'm working with a word limit for each chapter, but they get progressively longer as the story unfolds. It's one of the parameters I set for myself when I started. It's still really hard to fit much action in there with so few words, though, so I'm thrilled you thought it was exciting!

I hope to get another chapter of this up in a few days. Hope to see you back here then! :)

Very good, i'm guessing that maybe Dean went over the cliff, i'd thought it was Sam, but he's with Dean, or maybe i'm on the wrong track altogether lol.

Author's Response:

Hi Beth,

Awesome start! An amnesia story for my birthday, what more could a girl ask for? I know, angst & owies, but that's in the forthcoming chapters, right? The long, lush ones;-)

Thanks for a terrific (and hey, it's even low calorie) birthday treat!!

Sue

Hey there, Sue! Thanks for coming over to check this out, and for leaving a great rating and review. I appreciate it, and I'm so glad you're enjoying your gift so far!

Nice try, LOL, on the "long, lush" chapters bit. ;) I'm working with a word limit on each chapter, but they do get progressively longer as the story unfolds. I don't know if any of them are long and lush, LOL, but they area all longer than this one. :)

Thanks again for reading and reviewing!

You've got some great imagery here.  "a slippery frog in a five year old's hand" was especially good.  I also liked the "Sludge" of desperation.  Great word, sludge.  Now I want more!

Author's Response:

Awww, thanks!! I really appreciate the wonderful review you left for my new story. I'm so glad you liked the "frog/sludge" thing. I'm working under a word limit, so I was tempted to take it out many times, LOL, but just loved it too much to let it go. I'm glad you liked it, too!

I plan to get another chapter of this up in a couple of days. Hope to see you back here then! :)

In the meantime, if you're looking for brotherly moments to carry you through the hiatus, I have some one-shots up that you might like: "Parenting Your Gifted Child" and "Just Like My Big Brother." If you check them out, I'd love to hear what you think!
