Loved your story.though for me I wish you hadn't brought Dean back from th dead.The fact that you had him sacrifice himself was fitting as I thought it brought the whole tv series full circle.As Tessa said once he was living on borrowed time and as Dean said himself the dead should stay dead. I thought the story concluded itself enough with the fact Sam had a new family and that he'd named his children in memory of his mother and brother. that was enough for me and had me in tears. I hope they finish the series in a similar vain. Look forward to reading more of your stories. All the best Madmags
Author's Response: Hi there Thanks. That was a tough one. I actually wrote this as a deathfic (you can tell) and then I did the dreaded thing of putting it to the side and not just posting straight away. And then I read it and I wasn't sure...so I messed with it and changed the end. Deep down, I want Dean to live at the end of it all, it's a burning need now that before I didn't have. He has sacrificed so much he deserves a little happiness in the end. Thanks again, Mary x

Aww that was just beautiful and heartwarming. You had me sobbing in parts. And then the fake out with Adam was very clever - I really thought Dean was gone then. So glad you gave them all such a satisfying end. And the verse Cas used was perfect. Thanks for sharing Rhesa
Author's Response: Hey Rhesa Thank you. A little range of emotions in this one but glad that you enjoyed it overall. I had to add Adam in and I couldn't resist the little fake! Cas' verse is actually a quote from the bible that I saw on the internet and liked, it seemed to fit. Cheers Mary x

Rewarding. Caught me surprised at Thanksgiving 2012, Adam n Kate? But it nice that John has come out from the woodwork about the extra family. Dean's got his happy ending. Bobby's daughter, got me there. (:
Author's Response: HI Badaiwind Thank you! I included Kate and Adam 'cos I thought that if Dean changes everything and John lives then they would too. If Sam and Dean found out in the other reality then they would probably find out in this one too....or John would tell them. Dean got his happy ending, I couldn't resist it, I was gonna use Cassy and then I thought if John had a child he didn't know about for so long....why not Bobby and it let's him end up as Dean's father-in-law too!! your little world you created was practically identical to how I always thought the boys should end up (obviously John, Adam + kate was all you). But, honestly, I have not been so engrossed in a fic in so long, and I hated and loved the fact that it had to end. Don't know what the show is going on about with a Butch and Sundance ending - happy endings and tear jerkers all round in my opinion. Anyway, LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT - I would add it to my favourites but they never seem to work on this site for me, but the sentiment is there. Amazing Bx x
Author's Response: Hey Buttercup Thank you lots, what a nice review. I liked my little world I made for the Winchesters, glad you do too!. I included Kate and Adam 'cos I believe that John would save them, if he lived so would they. I kinda wanted the Butch and Sundance ending but after S4 I realised that what I really want is for them to get a happy ending. Cheers and thank you again, Mary x

Well that was just all overall wonderful!!! Loved the tender goodbye moments - you worked the whole situation in the hospital so well, very touching. The "gift" was an amazing warm fuzzy at the end there - all the Winchester Christmases at once I think!!! Also the false trail with Adam kept me guess that little bit longer!!!! Great Job!!!! Abi.
Author's Response: Hey Abi Thanks! *blushes* I love the brother moments in the show, the angst parts are good too but I love when it's just them interacting and being brothers. The hospital parts were hard to write, you do not want to know how many times I watched IMTOD! I was trying not to go too overboard with the 'gift' at the end, hope I managed it. I included Adam 'cos I figured that if John lived and Dean had wrote the letter, Adam and Kate wouldn't have got taken by the ghouls and it let me play with people's heads for a little longer! Great one shot and this would be a nice way for the series to end. Wishful thinking on our part, but nice anyway. Never know what goes on in Kripke's head. We'll see. Enjoyed and look forward to your next one. Keep writing and I'll keep reading.
