What an interesting story! I really enjoyed reading it.  It was sad that John walked away from Sam and stayed away for so long, but I'm glad that everything turned out okay in the end.

Lovely ending to  your story. Somehow I must have forgotten to leave a review here. I hope John can be part of the family now. It's great to see that Dean was able to something other than hunt. Sammy is going to be the best big brother, I'm sure!

This was so good. It's nice to think of both boys getting the life they deserve instead of all the heartbreak they've been served with. And while a lot of people would say Dean would be OOC, I would love to see him with a family. He'd make a wonderful husband and father.

Author's Response: Personally, I agree with you.  I think Dean is just being what he thinks his dad wants him to be.  I believe, at heart, he's a family man.  The way he struts around and says 'man, a normal life would make me want to kill myself...'  me thinks he doth protest too much.

I am really enjoying this story. I noticed that another chapter was up but when I hit the link the page is blank. I would love to continue reading, great story.

I do believe Dean can do this for Sam's sake. I'm so relieved that John is going to let Dean have Sammy. I must admit, I was fuming at John's assessment of Dean and Sam. It really irked me. Looking forward to the next part!

Oh crap! It will kill Dean if John takes Sam away from him. I hope Dean sticks to his guns and tries to keep Sam. This could be a very interesting fight for Sam. Looking forward to the next part!

What a dilema.... on hand you have John on his way to reclaim the son he thought he lost... by passing the son whose always been his loyal soldier..... on the other hand you have the older brother who has been more then a brother... a father in fact ... and is now having the opportunity to be the father.... but that will be gone in a day or so when John arrives...

I'm just wondering what Sammy's reaction is going to be when he sees John.  Interesting developments on their way.... can't wait.

Great story -I love the journey you're taking us on to get Sam back to normal (at least I guess he he'll be back to normal the end ... or maybe this is the start of a new series of stories with grown up Dean and child Sam!!)

Awesome beginning, so sad that Sam's pain goes all the way back to his early childhood. The unicorn was great, mysterious and powerful. Sounds like Dean is going to have his hands full convincing Sammy that he's really Dean.

Whooweee! Dean would have never ever forgiven himself if Sam had been taken by that pervert. I hope they keep "Bunny" so he'll have someone who really wants him and not some pervert who only used him to lure young children away (dog would have been killed too as soon as it wasn't a puppy anymore).  I guess Dean will never look away even for a second with Sam!
