I really enjoyed this story, but to be honest I feel robed! This final chapter is good but it it feels like something's missing, I'm really hoping for that sequel you mentioned so I can read a little more!

Author's Response: Hey. I totally get how you feel and the sequel should definately fill in what's missing. I have a pretty good idea on how it's going to go, but it may take me a couple weeks as i'm on nanny duty this week for my sister while she goes on vacation.

I just wanted to cry reading this chapter. I'm glad that John realizes what an ass he's been. Chris really seems like a great friend to Dean. Looking forward to the next chapter.

John...normally I let him be an evil ass, but I thought it'd be nice if he could try to redeem himself this time. And I'm pleased you like Chris. I always felt bad that Dean had no one to take care of him, so I finally just said enough and gave him someone. And the next chapter is currently in progress.

Author's Response: thanks! I'm actually working on the next chapter right now. It would have been up a lot sooner, but my mother got me sick. Now that I can actually breathe again, I'm able to start writing. The new chapter should be up in a day or two.

Yikes! I knew John would be mad, maybe a bit disappointed that Dean hid his family from him, but the way he reacted was so harsh and cruel! I guess now I know why Dean didn't share. Reading that this was in 2001, reminded me that Dean is only 22 years old, so young to be a widower with a young child. I can't wait to read the next chapter, so please please hurry back with the next chapter.

Yeah...I was in a really bad mood when I wrote this, which is why John was a lot harsher than normal. He will eventually apologize though, once Bobby sets him straight.
I'll do my best to hurry with the next chapter. It should be up in a few days.

Hmm, usually they don´t stay that long in one place when they were little during one of their father´s hunts. Well not that I know of, anyway. But I do like that she knows of the supernatural and being trained to be a hunter, so it wouldn´t be so awkward between them during their relationship, you know, no secrets.

My god, was Dean the same age as his father when he lost his wife? I know that his daughter is the same age as he was when she died and what is that saying, what goes around comes around? Can I ask if your going to get him to go after whatever killed his wife when he does find out? I love how this story begins.

Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm glad you're enjoying my story. And I don't know exactly how old John was when Mary died, but I would think he was older than 22 (dean's age in the story). And Dean's wife managed to kill the one that attacked her, she just died in the process. You will find out exactly what it was in the next chapter though.

I just teared up reading this chapter, it was so sad and poignant. I'm glad that Dean's father-in-law hold no grudges against Dean. I wonder what Dean will do after everything has settled? He seems so lost. His little girl is a jewel for sure. I'm so curious as to how you are going to take this story in the future.

This is so far along the AU scale that it feels weird to read. But having said that I still want to read more.
I want to know exactly who Chris and Steve are? Is Bobby, Bobby Singer? Will there be a happy reunion with Sam? What exactly killed Melissa? And will we have long to wait for the next chapter?

Author's Response: wow. first, you will find out who chris and steve are and their relationship with dean in chapter 4 most likely. Yes, Bobby is Bobby Singer. I'm unclear about Sam at the moment. The killer will be explained, and I am already working on the next chapter so hopefully you won't have to wait more than a week.

How very sad. I just read the two chapters, and you have Dean a widower pretty quickly. I'm hoping he will let Sammy in his life and that of his daughter. I'm not so sure about John, he seems like a jerk in this story. I'm wondering if something supernatural was at work here. Looking forward to where you are taking this story.
