Wow, very poignant and heartbreaking. This brought tears to my eyes, and a fic hasn't done that to me for a long while. I loved the part where you described how differently Sam and Dean react when they're mad, scared etc. There are so many lines I'd like to quote... It's not possible to choose.

Author's Response:

I'm touched to know that this story touched you to the point of tears. I think that's one of the most flattering things to say (unless you're writing a comedy *g*).

Thank you!

Hey Natty

A cool story. Thoughtful and thought-provoking. Thank god for Bobby's calm paternalism, its what Dean needs now. Someone to hold dear for him his precious but tenuous grip on normality.

Nicely written, Bravo Bev xx

Great writing, this story is very poignant & really captures some of Bobby & Dean's emotions towards what Sam is becoming.Though I don't think Bobby has fully given up on Sam, because of his unique understanding of the boys. Having been alive while Dean was in hell, Bobby probably really understands how Sam was driven to this emotional state.

However, if Dean only found out about Sam's demon blood addiction during the fight scene at the warehouse, he couldn't of called Bobby before then.

Author's Response:

I admit that is a bit of fanwank on my part, but Dean didn't actually needed to know what was wrong with Sam to know that SOMETHING was wrong with Sam. And the way that Dean acted throughout the episode... he was planning something, I think.

Thank you for reviewing!

Ouch.  Just, ouch.

I'm really terrified of what's coming in ep. 21.  I really am.

This was hard to read, and all because it was so poignant and rang so true.  Like a beautiful train wreck, with just the tiniest hint of comfort.  But how can we be comforted with that big countdown to doom hanging over our heads?  Those little comforting moments feel so hollow in the face the big awful to come.

All the same, thanks for this.  Dean really does seem like a salmon swimming against the current on a suicide mission...  I just hope they can win!

Author's Response: Thank you! The 'beautiful train wreck' part made my day :oD
