Another beautiful work of art, Nessa! I always love your work! It gives me thoughts to ponder. An excellent contrast from one birthday to another. Unfortunately, our hopes at the birth of a child never seem to make it to reality. Poor Dean.
Author's Response: Thank you, Shannon. I'm so happy you enjoyed this write.

Wow, amazing, this is so beautiful but the ending just breaks my heart. The contrast of the past and present, absolute joy and absolute devastation, is as evident as it is in the series. Like Dean's peaceful dreaming scene in The Rapture followed by Dean waking up to the hard reality. "His sobs were as silent as Sam’s had been loud just minutes earlier." What a great line to end it.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the lovely review. I'm so thrilled you enjoyed this one, particularly that you liked the contrast between past and present.

A wonderful one shot, the first part was warm and lovely, the second was so very sad.
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you. I'm thrilled to hear you liked it!

Hi Ness, This is a nice little birthday treat, I like the full circle approach, and it works with the moods, too, from overwhelmingly happy to devastatingly sad. Sue
Author's Response: Thank you very much. Honestly, when I started writing, I didn't intend to do the full circle thing--but then it suddenly just happened. The muse just took over and tugged me that way.
