Author's Response: Queen of evil cliffies, Moi? - Um- pot, kettle? heh -- You're too kind, really -- as I really need to get going & write more than just these drabbles I've been doing all year!!  I do appreciate it, though :D -!

oooh, is there more of that little tidbit? 'Cause that sounds like an amazing tale! Go on, feed the bunny...

Author's Response: Hmm- There may be-- I'll give bunny some snacks & see what comes of it ;)  - I already have left two drabbles out of this group, as I plan on putting them in my next story -- Shall let ya know, of course!  Thanks Cal!!

Hell's mean? Pot, kettle! heh. Once again, you write with such clarity I can picture the scene perfectly, and then throw in a last line like that... Awesome. Who else would he pray for/to?

Author's Response: Heheh :-) You're too kind, Cal - Thank you!

Hmm. Beautiful! Love the way it could be either of them thinking, either of them dreaming... And so vivid. *sigh*

Author's Response: Aw- What a wonderful review -- Appreciate it very, very much!!

heehee - the Dean Winchester version of puppydog eyes - a death glare at four years old! And who could say no to that?

Author's Response: Yep- probably as close to puppydog eyes as Dean could ever get - ;-) -- Thanks!

Aw... young Dean without the bravado or the walls - his first spirit? Certainly early in his hunting life. And John knowing what it must have done to him to burn it, and saying just the right thing. Lovely!

Author's Response: Yeah, perhaps his first spirit -- definitely an early one -- Thanks so much, Cal!!

Awww...I'm glad you wrapped this up. Love the image of a scared Dean doing what needs to be done anyway, and of John hovering nearby to make sure it goes well. Glad John praised him at the end.

Author's Response: Yes- John may not have been the best father in the world, but he did seem quite protective of his sons -- I really appreciate the review!

Nice! Great job with your descriptions, and with setting the mood.

Loved this line: "The phantoms of his future await as trees shadow the outcome of the task ahead, of proving his worth as a hunter."

Author's Response: Thanks so much, honey! -- Fun stuff to try to pack as much into 100 words as possible- :-D

ohoh - trepidation is right! Love the hints of turmoil underneath that mask - impassive is the perfect way to describe it. There's a real sense that he's working very hard to NOT think of the boy so close to his own age, dead and lost in the woods. But that officially counts as a cliffie hun!

Author's Response: Aw - Thanks so much, Cal! - I actually did write a follow-up drabble for this one -- & maybe I'll post it next -- Next one's up in a day or two -- Again, thank you!

oooh, spooky... Who's that tall form? I hope it's John and not some evil critter attempting to hurt my boy!

Love this line:    "The phantoms of his future await..."    together with the bones of the teenage spirit that's a very dark foreshadowing concerning his own mortality... *sighs* NO! Dean Winchester will NEVER die, eeerrrr ... maybe just once and then never again?

Thanks for sharing! **~RC~**

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review, Ilka - and the rating!! - You are too good to me, heheh -- I always love hearing what you think -- really appreciate it!
