Wonderful the gospels continue and go back to Dean's return from hell. And yes, the hug absolutely had to be in it, with everything what came after I'm gonna keep this in mind as a sign it will end for them like this, together!

Hi, I was hoping you'd go backwards and fill in the previous chapters for season 4. I know there are a lot of 'Ands' already, but Dean's return was a good thing, and I was hoping for a 'And the brothers hugged, sorrows melting away and there was much rejoicing in the land--or at least in the hotel room.' Sue
Author's Response: You are absolutely right, Sue. Somehow I passed right over the best hug in all of Supernaturaldom. So I’m taking your wonderful line and adding it to the Gospel. Chuck would be proud of you.

Absolutely amazing roundup to Lucifer Rising, you found the perfect words to express what we saw, Dean's wonderful choice and this is a very precious line for me, one to remember: "And knowing right from wrong, Dean Winchester chose the pain and the guilt and his brother..."! Aww, yes!!! And even if Sam is Satan's child, what counts is they are together again, "...shoulder-to-shoulder, God's Warrior stood with Satan's Child to await Armageddon." Couldn't ask for more, brilliant writing, PERFECT!
Author's Response: Wow. You REALLY make me blush. I've had a number of requests to continue these and to go back to the beginning. Four years is a lot so with your kind indulgence, I'd like to go back to Lazarus Rising and see what happens.

Holy smokes, this is an awesome summary. So Sam is now Satan's Child, that's sad. But the last line rings true, shoulder-to-shoulder, the Winchester brothers can face anything. Sue
Author's Response: I'm afraid the"eyes" have it. Poor Sammy.

If even possible the gospel form makes these events more painful, written down like this gives something ultimate to it and touches deeply! Excellent!! The last line here really is killing me, it's Sam Winchester now, but I'm still hoping he's not lost, will be Sammy to Dean again and it will prove that these two are truly two sides of the same coin. It's not the end of the gospel yet!!!
Author's Response: I think you're right about the coin. Heads-Dean with a halo and tails-Sam with horns and payment has come due. Everyone's on the run now. Thanks for the wonderful reviews.

Another riveting and succinct summary of the episode. Got to tell you, I hate that last line, tho, unless you're implying that Dean only knew Sammy, and Sammy has morphed into Sam Winchester, an entirely different critter. Sue
Author's Response: Thank you. When writing the final line, I never even considered 'Sammy', wrote 'his brother' then changed it to 'Sam' then to 'Sam Winchester' as they seem almost strangers to one another now. Sniff!

"And like St. Peter before him, Dean Winchester dreamed of fishing." It's sentences like that that make these "Gospels" so darned entertaining -- Oh- and gotta love, "And Dean said unto Jimmy, 'Where the hell is Castiel?'" Very Well Done!
Author's Response: Thanks again. I guess I wasn't screwing off the whole time I was at mass. Can you tell I was raised a Catholic?

So Sam is God's Wayward Son, can't tell how much I loved this, as we know these are often the most beloved and surely not forsaken; woman you are wonderful!!
Author's Response: As much as I love the dark side of everything, I don't think Sam's got it in him to go there on his own. Here's hoping he doesn't go clear around the bend. And again thank you for the awesome reviews.

I love your wording on these chapters! When you word "John Winchester's lover feasted on the tainted blood of Mary Winchester's child..." it becomes really interesting on how one could interpret the scene differently if you haven't seen that episode. Can't wait for more chapters!
Author's Response: Thanks so much. I guess these psuedo- biblical recaps would be kind of strange if you haven't seen the episode.

Another great chapter. I had to re-read it bec the first time thru, I thought the "first-born" son was a typo and then I realized that God's Unbreakable Soldier is John and God's Warrior is Dean. I got curious and re-read everything, and I noticed that Sam isn't God's anything. Hmm... foreshadowing? Sue
Author's Response: I don't think Sam is lost to God at all, just as and I think Dean, per Alastair's praise, may turn out to be a red herring. We shall see.

Bow to you for this, brilliant and overwhelming, not for anything I would want to miss this!!!!!!
Author's Response: ...and you keep me writing.

Perfect way to convey the message, all the important moments are there, impressive! Gonna print these Gospels, great job!
Author's Response: Wow! You always meke me blush.

I am really enjoying these thoughfully crafted commentaries on the episodes. Thank you for exploring and articulating this very different train of thought. Sue
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I was going to second guess Kripke and post what I thought was coming up in the next three episodes but the task is just too daunting. So I'll just let Chuck finish up the season.

Sunday School class would certainly be a whole lot less boring if these were the scriptures we were studying! (Sorry, Brother Newman!) :)
Author's Response: Thank you. In the back of my Catechism were prayers and the number of days you could get off of your time in purgatory so during mass I spent all my time praying to bank time. Probably all for naught though as I’m afraid I’m most likely hell bound anyway.

Hey Girl! - This is very clever -- Just too bad you couldn't do the Sam/Fabio graphics, heh -- Nice!
Author's Response: Thanks. I met Fabio and I know I could never do that man justice! So hot!

"And God's Warrior accepted his fate." Wow, knew this would be a special one, it is in every respect, powerful and intense, straight to the point. Thanks to you and Chuck - a prophet after my own heart!!!
Author's Response: Thanks so much. Two more gospels, then come the prophecies. Poor Dean...and Bobby...and Sammy.

And God’s warrior wept.
If that isnt powerful- I dont know what is... Great first piece!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Tree. I hope I can pull this off without a crystal ball.

Aww, I'm so glad you are the one who writes this, fantastic start, feels like it will be such an amazing ride as La Mano was!!! So good to have you back, missed you!
Author's Response: Aw, how sweet are you. I was messing around in my 1st fandom, the Magnificent 7, and lost track of the time. Also, I've been trying to overcome my Sammy writer's block to finish Season of the Witch. But I'm back now and hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew with this one.
