Oh my. That was good... and terrible... and exciting... and awful... and so dark and sad. You know all through S4 I quite liked the idea of Lucifer going into Sam [or Dean, I wasn't fussed!] and thought the finale was a bit of a cop-out when that didn't happen. But gah... to see something like this happen onscreen would be pretty hard.
Author's Response: Hey Kate. Great to meet a new reader! And thanks for reviewing... Well, I wanted it to be Sam possessed by Lucifer. But I think that would've been the finale if it had been the last season of the show. I was betting on Lucifer rising in Bobby over the last weeks of season 4. But I really liked the way they did it. We have a cliffie but not as angsty as the years before. With the boys back together I couldn't care less about Lucifer or the apocalypse. LOL. Heh. I lived in Klamath, Oregon when I was a little girl. If Lucifer was going to show up someplace, that would be a good start. Klamath Lake is SMELLY. Of course, now I live near the Great Salt Lake, and that smells worse, so what do you do? It's interesting that Sam is still feeling the pangs of his addiction while he's possessed. It's a lot creepy that he's attracted to his own blood, but if it works to get him free of possession, then I say go for it. I'm definitely worried about Dean- needing healing every few hours isn't going to be a good thing. He can't keep that up forever! Pass your finals and post more soon!

Oh you can bet I'm grasping onto that pinprick of hope- that Sam, with that super-smart brain of his, is going to forge some sort of escape from the evil clutches he finds himself in! Awesome job with this chapter-and dont worry about when you get the next one done. I think all of us around here have had real life bite us in the persquiter once or twice.... Really loved this chapt... although Castiel frustrates me about like he does on the show. I surely hope Anna's arrival means that Dean can be fixed "permanently" and get out there after Sam... Cant wait to see what happens next...

Wow - That was intense, girl! -- One can just feel for Sam's despair -- Gosh, I hope he finds a way out of this fix, & still has a chance to let Dean know he's still in there! Author's Response: Hey ya, oh well, I DID get it done in the end. At 5.30 this morning. I am totally exhausted. But the chapter just didn't feel right to me and my muse is a real owl, like me, so when inspiration hit I simply kept on typing. I am so glad that my job starts at noon. I love how Lucifer has Sam all tied in knots... caught between what he 'feels' what he wants and what he knows to be true. It reminded me that Lucifer is also known as the Great Deceiver.. ALso loved the convo between Dean and Cas... especially the allusion that Dean was tocuhed by Disgrace- and that it might have come from Sam... awesome allusion to the evil that is Lucifer and may be Sam... and that last line- OMG- Lucifer has the Impala.... I just could see the look on Dean's face. Well done!

I expected, when angels were introdued to the show, that they would be able to heal. It has surprised me that they have never done it. Now, I can see why! That's hard, painful work! This was a great scene. Tense, painful, and hopeful all at the same time. Of course, Dean might have survived, but with Lucifer...the hardest stuff is yet to come!

AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHH! Okay- so I had to play 'catchup'- two chapters at a sitting... and wow- I think I was holding my breath throughout both of them. I sorta could tell what was gonna happen to Dean in Chp 2- but I think somehow I was holding out hope that Sam would be strong enough to keep Lucifer from hurting him... and then YAY- I was cheering when Bobby and Cas showed up- and dude- your description of Grace, Divine Love, Power and Presence- was just sooo powerful... it was like there were all these angels there - each with their own role in saving him... But then- that ending- *gasps* The elder Winchester gulped and panted, eyes glued to Bobby's face, mortal fear etched into his taut features. I think I was as exhausted as Dean- and still not feeling overly confident about his condition.... I think I need chocolate now... and to go stare at some Jensen pictures... you put me through the wringer. :)

You won't believe me when I say I was cheering Sammy on to interfere even though I knew it would happen all over again. Just like in chapter one. Still, I wanted Dean to be saved. The poor guy. *dreams about a hurt!Dean in need of some huggin an d kissin* I am such a sick person, sorry.
I was exhausted after chapter 03. So much that I needed a break from writing! For like a whole friggin week! Was almost as bad as the death!fic experience back in January. That one drained me of my muse for over 2 months! "Just" because I killed them!

Author's Response: Hey Ash! Thanks for the stars and the review! And I don't know about genius... but I have my own theories about how the show will progress in regard of the Lucifer issue. I used to think it would be that Sam was gonna be Lucifer's vessel. But my evil, twisted mind has persuaded me into believing something else now. What about Lucifer rising in BOBBY? Now, that is a cliffhanger I would love and hate to see. Poor guys, their surrogate dad as their mortal enemy... YIKES... But I think it's pretty obvious that Lilith's death will be the last seal, don't you think? And Sam will break it, he's so damn set on killing her... *sighs*

You evil, evil woman! What are you doing to our boys? This chapter was PaInFuL, poor Sammy, all heart-broken and guilty... I just wanna hug him and tell him it will all be alright (I still trust that you'll fix this *steals puppy dog eyes from Sammy and tries to use them on you*). I loved everything about this chapter, and I have to admit I had tears in my eyes reading a few parts... ok, a lot of parts, so that means I'm definitely sticking around for this angst-filled ride :) All I need now is a box of tissues and the next chapter! 10/10. Keep the angst coming! Ps: Bobby as lucifer??! Ok, that's disturbing... but interesting... *goes to bed with unsettling thoughts*

Author's Response: Hey! Thanks for reviewing. It's hard to say which way the show goes at the moment. I could see 2 possible endings for this season. One is the one you just read (only I think Bobby would die) and the other would be Lucifer rising in Bobby. SO, in my opinion, I am not that far off canon. And there's always a risk of being completely AU if you write about the current season. Even tags and dream sequences may turn out to be off the arch in retrospective. The show just offers too many ways of interpretation to be 100% sure about anything, but that again means there is enough room for us to develop mini-arches or small AU which will in the find their way back to canon.

I HAVE reviewed this already, but I'm going to do it here too. In regards to the banners, nuh uh, no WAY am I going to try to judge between the two of you. It's good work on both ends. I am always impressed the way you manage to get me sucked in emotionally to whatever story you're writing. This one makes me DREAD the season finale, and what might happen to these boys! I'm so glad that Sam's not gone, because it means there's hope. I'll hold on to that too.
