Wow, definitely had tears with this chapter. Sam and Dean's pain were powerfully expressed. Loved the whole back and forth with the pie too -- so like them.

wow, what a great chapter, i laughed and i almost cried ! It's so good writen, Sam's realisation of how lucky he is to have such a brother, Dean's reflections on their father's mistakes... And god, thanks for THE HUG, even this is one in funny and hart-wrenching in the same time. You're one hell of an author my friend, and i can't wait for more...

Ok, very close to tears here... Another wonderful chapter. I love the story about the puppy. I too firmly believe that Dean has never resented Sammy being his responsibility. It is what fulfills him in life and makes him happy - just couldn't agree more with you here. You have really done a masterful job of capturing an emotional rollercoaster here. I am so buckets of awesome, aren't I? (That sounded so bitchy!) Anyway, again I looooove this chapter. I'm glad to get Sam's perspective on this and I love how it opened with the appliances and Dean and the puppy talk...so funny! Glad to know where Dean stands on all this and that he'll always be there for Sam. AND THEY GOT THE HUG!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HUG! IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL! Off to wipe away the tears now...

wow, outstanding chapter. All the exchange with craven is deep and funny, Dean's tribulations into town, thinking always at Sam are wonderfully written, and the reunion is just perfect, the blueberry/peach pie piece showing how their two lives is finally just only one. God, I love this story. You stealthy beast, posting your new chapter in the dead of night (at least it is here). I just love the insights into Dean's character in this chapter. The reunion at the end just about tore my heart out. Sam carrying Dean's journal the way Dean carries John's - gah! Dean sacrificing John's love and approval and channelling it into Sam - you are killing me here. The scenes with Craven - fabulous. Dean wandering around and seeing things he wants to take Sam back to see, knowing what will interest Sam - not quite what draws Dean, but still a link between them - so very true of those closest to us. Ok, this was supposed to be my bedtime story, and now I don't think I can possibly sleep! Thank you for an amazingly wonderful chapter in a fabulous story.

Enjoyed how Craven dealt with Dean, letting him fall was priceless. Also laughed at the way Dean tries to make peace with Sam with the pie. Typical Dean to ignore the issue as long as possible. Great job at all the insights Dean has into Sam and why he didn't tell him. Jenny

Hey bayre, I have loved this story from the very start, but I think this is my favourite chapter so far. Loved this line..... Drunk, laid, fight. A man needed goals. ....and the phone conversation between Concha and Dean is hilarious. Sam and Dean aren't together in this chapter, but their bond is as clear as crystal - and I love that. Well done!

wow Laura, what an amazing chapter ! The way they're worried for the other even if they don't talk to each other... And drunk Dean, pathetic but also so funny, the line "the ghost tells time to" makes me laugh out loud causing interrogatives looks from hubby !! Poor Concha stuck in the middle of the brothers fight is so not where she wants to be. Loved her mantra and irritation. Even when the brothers aren't talking to each other they are worried about each other, nice touch. Enjoyed seeing Sam go ballistic in the kitchen and Dean sappy drunk. Jenny

I am really impressed with this story. I love all the drama between Sam and Dean. Poor Sammy doesn't know which way Dean will go. I loved the way Concha handled both Dean and Sam. Bringing Dean to Craven's house was great. Sammy trashing the apartment was cool. When Concha told Sam "You without coffee, way to scary for me" that was hilarious. You do have me a little concerned when you mentioned Gordon. Why are you having Sam wonder where Gordon is. What are you planning you wicked lady you? :)

Wow! What a great chapter. Your hard work is totally apparent here. Terrific humour with John and Craven at the beginning - loved John looking silly half in the floor. Great scene with Dean tossing Craven's place as he talks to him. And finally, the end scene with Dean and Sam is very powerful. I love that Dean is the "ultimate" hunter. Doubt that's going to keep the boy from getting himself whumped, though. I also totally agree that his relationship with Sam goes so much beyond being a sibling. As always, can't wait for your next update.

Okay, you already know what I think of this incredible chapter! I absolutely love Craven and the fact that he got John to talk and even took the man by surprise a couple of times. Oh Shit - this is so bad. You explained exactly what would happen when Dean found out without really saying it. You just laid it all out for me to understand. Dean also knew, without any doubt or hesitation, Sam wouldn’t do that, wouldn’t abandon him, not now. Those days were gone. Gee, I wish Sam would show some of this sentiment in the show, because in the show HE KEEPS LEAVING DEAN! Obviously, I have issues with that, but I am really enjoying this story. It's an interesting point that has got me thinking: the value of consulting a supernatural being about the supernatural. It makes perfect sense! Well done, see you again soon, I hope.
Author's Response: Yeah, I do too, cause I really think if it came down to it he wouldn't really leave. Besides you have to laugh, he leaves, and as soon as he's got trouble, who does he call?
