Loving this bit of fluff - no monsters, yet, just love, life and Dean and Sam as brothers. Adored the sparring in the previous chapter, it's something I'd love to see more of both in stories and on TV. Certainly looking forward to more.

I'm really enjoying your AU story. I wonder if Dean will try to settle in and do "normal". I don't think he could do it permanently though, he has to much "hunter" in him. Looking forward to more!

Part of me wants him to stay, part of me wants him to go... now I'm ll conflicted, darn it! Great chapter - love the little bits of backstory, the Tradition, the story (Aw, poor Sammy. That'll teach him to pee in the Impala though!) the history of their sparring matches - oh the guilt trip in that one. Hmm... And the way Jess is slowly warming to Dean is perfect - still not quite trusting, as if she's picking up on the fact that most of what she knows about him is a lie, but deep down knows he's a good guy and so just can't stop herself liking him. And '"Ice cream? Dean asked, hopeful.' Aww again - he's such a little kid sometimes. Holding onto the little things, the simple pleasures... *sniffles* Looking forward to more!

yay! Loved the original... prologue? I guess? - of this story - so glad you've decided to take it further. Dean as Martha Stewart - awesome image, I can just see him working in a kitchen, all hot and sweaty... did I say that out loud? oops. :) Nice, light opening chapter, with just a few tiny hints of the angst underneath - love me a tired Dean.
