I really enjoyed this one shot. Great job. I really think that this is what Dean would have been thinking. It makes you think about the question, "If you could know how and when you would die, would you want to know?" Again, great job.

Thanks. I think Dean though about what he had done a lot that year and never showed it to Sam, not until near the end anyway.

I wouldn't want to know when my 'expiry date' was or how I was going, life's last great suprise...when, how and where do you go? Poor Dean knew all the answers and it didn't make it better for him and he still didn't get to do the things that he wanted.

Grand, you really can sense here some of the terror Dean felt during this year after the deal, the fear slowly suffocating him and eating his soul ("fear smiled at him, wrapped it's arm around him", fantastic image!); it also showed how much Sam was involved and both brothers were affected (and we can see the aftermath of this time now!). Your last line "he had screamed as the lights went out and he had been screaming ever since" is a heartbreaking truth, this gnawing fear can't be escaped. Brilliant description!
