Another great chapter, at least Dean is getting better, glad about that, Does he blame Sam for all the pain he went through? He doesn't know that Sam plans to leave yet? What's he going to think then? Please update again soon.

Dean really is in a dark place in his mind, that is. I hope he can open up to his family soon so his heart truly can be healed. Of course once he figures out that Sam wants to leave them that will hurt his heart some more. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Awwww! I love not talking Dean! I don't love that he's shutting everyone out, of course, especially since it's hurting Sam so much. Interesting ideas with the witch- using corrupt power for good. Is it even possible? Will it turn in the end? I will have to be very nice and good so I can find out.

Your reviews has just made me realised something but as it would be considered spoilery for S4 I can't say here, but if you've see S4 you'll know what I mean! Cryptic or what! NICE chapter! You have the tense race to save Dean, a very dramatic climax, the relief of hearing a heartbeat again, the angst of not everything automatically being right again, and a spectacular and mysterious solution to the problem. Lovely! I knew being nice and good would pay off!

Oh yay! Thank God Dean's finally out of the woods, no longer hexed! The poor guy's been suffering enough from his family's constant fighting! Sadly, we know that in the long run this "lesson" will only ever be a temporary remedy. John and Sam just clash, don't they? Great update!

Sorry I missed chapter 10 so this is for the both of them, I thought the argument between John and Sam really intense, glad that everything worked out though in the end. And hopefully Dean will be OK and make a full recovery, only for Sam to hurt him again by going off to college. Can't wait for the next one.

What a fight between Sam and John. Unfortunately,Sam figured out too late he was the trigger. Dean is technically death but for Jim there're still hope to save him, can't wait to know what question he wants to ask to Sam. I'm looking forward to the final chapter.

OMG .... NOT A DEATH FIC?!!!!!!!! You realize that your fingers have typed the Dr calling time and everything - hell they made John Winchester CRY!!!!!! Gonna trust you though - ... Before that huge cliff edge you threw us I was marveling at the angry exchange between John and Sam. Amazing writing - tension was perfect, reactions of both was very believable and throwing in the threat of Dean going with Sam - can imagine that was the biggest red rag of them all. This was excellent - brutal and so fitting; “Over my dead body.” John stood and rounded on Sam. Sam didn’t flinch. “Better yours than his.” Great Work Mary - you are an EVIL genius!!!! Dean admitting that his family fighting broke his heart brought a lump to my throat because I believe he is the type that would rather chew out his own tongue than admit anything remotely tied to emo moments!!! The way he truly can't win in the Winchester family civil war is very clearly demonstrated - nice job, you can't help but feel for him. Happy that Jim has figured it out - hope he can run like the wind before John and Sam really get into it!

Well you'd better not leave us hanging for long, then! I'm just trying to figure out how old Sam's supposed to be in this? Isn't he only 14 or 15? The timeline seems a little off for Sam and John to be having the big blow-out argument with Sam leaving for college, since Sam would have been 18 when that actually happened. Or was this just foreshadowing of the fight to come in a few years? Either way, excellent chapter. High angst and excellent dialogue with the fight between John and Sam.
