Poor Nick had to watch just like poor Sam.
hope John, Mac, Pastor Jim and Caleb get back before Dean is a goner; just like Jarrod.
i used to watch repeats of the Big Valley when i was a kid. had a huge crush on Lee Majors.
Dean never could keep his mouth shut.

Thank heavens, light at the end of the tunnel, Caleb's here. I hope he can work his magic sooner rather than later. I'm not sure how much more pain Dean can cope with, but he can probably cope with a lot more than I can bare to read. But I promised I was here for the ride and I will be.
Still I'm already looking forward to next Monday's update.

I'm having a hard time imagining him being able to keep his mouth shut en lieu of everything that's been done to Dean. He's almost worse than Dean at keeping his big mouth shut when he's angry. lol.

Great Chapter 1. I loved Big valley as a girl! In fact, I even considered the names Heath and Jarrod when I was expecting!! I don't really remember that particular episode....was it Heath (poor dude always got beaten) or Nick (the hot-head) who was the whipping boy? (Jarrod would've been too smart to get into that predicament!!) And wow....evil that's NOT supernatural and John led them down the wrong road! Tsk, Tsk!!

I love the Big Valley, and the Iron Box is a great brotherly episode between Heath and Nick Barkley! Heathen girls can be as crazy as Dean girls (I'm both, sigh....). Love the parallel parts so far. Dean's burn and Heath's burn lefted untreated. I hope Sam can make Dean at least appear to toe the line, but we all know Dean isn't likely to do that@ Loving this story so far!

Wow! What an amazing start. I always love your pre-series stories. This definitely strikes as darker than your normal fare but I am here for the ride regardless of how dark and desperate things get, I trust you to make it right in the end.

Oh wow, awesome! Truly, deliciously awesome! We get determined Caleb, worried Sam, and ferocious, mouthy, whumped Dean!
WOO HOO! It's like Christmas came early.
Those militia kidnappers have no idea what a treasure trove they've found in Sam and Dean Winchester (if only they could get past the pesky free will thing). Two already-trained soldiers who are practically geniuses with weapons and hand-to-hand combat? Isn't that like their wet dream come true? Of course, they don't know yet that Sam and Dean are everything they could ever hope for (see above re: free will).
Can't wait for the next chapter!!
