I was prepared to dislike the ending after such a good story. But I didn't. This so would make a great episode on TV. You've got the boys, especially Dean, down pat. Be looking forward to reading more of your stuff.

Good mysterious beginning, that had me really enthusiastic to see what happens next. Incredibly original idea – loved your portrayal of 'Dean-less Sam.' This truly was an extremely unique story that was really well written. I could not stop reading. The conversations and thoughts were natural and flowed well. I liked your backtory to 'Dean-less' Sam and I love that he has "visions" of real Sam. I also liked Dean's commentary's, it really helped the story and made it more enjoyable and seem like I was in his head more & better understood Dean. I thoroughly enjoyed this story!! This line made me giggle: Sam looked over again, more thoughtfully this time. Dean tried to arrange his features into a trustworthy expression, but he had the sneaking suspicion that he just looked constipated.

I like the wording of these sentences, I don't really know why, but it really got my attention:
Dean stared. This conversation was only two lines old, and already he was beginning to feel out of his depth. “Sam...” he started, but the look Sam gave him made him stutter to a halt.

Loved Sam's interview with the psychiatrist who admitted him, just hilarious!
And this line is pure genius....
“Annoyed. Frustrated.” Sam shot Dean a glance, then looked away. “Safe,” he said.

Loved this story from start to finish. Dean's running commentary throughout was wonderful. The new Sam was a great character who stood on his own. Loved the story he told the doctor in this chapter - nice comic relief and such a great jab at Dean. Would love a followup on what happened to old Sam :) Jenny

I am so sorry to be late to this party Refur, but sometimes real life (and helping your sister move house for 3 freaking days!) just gets in the way! Another awesome chapter. I just keep chanting this mantra over and over....poorDeanpoorDeanpoorDean. I know it's poor Sam too (both of them!), but a girl can't help her bias. Well done!

As always a great read! Too many great lines to comment on all of them, but two of my favourites:
Sleep just fucking flipped him the bird and flounced off in the other direction.
Elegant as an oran-utan!
Can't wait for Dean to get back to realSam. I'm glad that Pastor Jim will look out for this Sam.

I know I have been telling you how much I love this story, but you have outdone yourself with this chapter. It would have been easy to have Dean just jump to his Sam's reality, but the way you took this story is so much better.
By taking the time to address the new Sam's issues, you led Dean to new insights about himself and his need to help both of his brothers. Really great job developing the new Sam's character as separate and uique from the original.
Loved the prophecy, wish Dean would listen, but great character reasons for him not to. Finally wonderful job with the running commentary in Dean's mind.
