A very emotionally charged chapter. I've thought all along that it was Sam's ego that led him down the path to Ruby, that he wanted to outshine the image of Dean that he had in his head. I never considered that Sam might have felt inferior or that he was a burden to his borther. I never considered he was acting out of a sense of worthlessness rather than pride. You really opened my eyes.

The opening passage was wonderful! I understood Bobby's anger and sadness. I especially like that he took all his anger out on a flower. Been there, done that. Poor Dean! It's like WIAWSNB only Dean decided himself to end that dream. This time the decision was taken from him.

They were the worst thing you could hear escape the lips of a medical professional. I'm sorry. It meant there's no hope. It meant give up, and go back home alone." I've heard those words before and they aren't pleasant. Like being hit in the stomach with a ten pound maul. But what this dotor doesn't know is that he's dealing with Winchesters. Normal doesn't apply to them.

Mal, Wow! Dean should have called Sam an Ass for thinking that. All Dean has ever done was be there for Sam. he never treated Sam like he wasn't equal. Sam is selfish and always thinking of himself. This chapter was good; the interaction with Sam and Dean telling each other how they felt. after Thursday's episode this chapter hits a nerve with me. hope the next chapter will be up soon.

That was a powerful and intense chapter. Dean and Sam finally said the truth to each other, how hurted they're. Now that everything has been said, hope things'll get better between them. Can't wait for more.

Terrific chapter. I loved Dean and Bobby's conversation, there're still a little sadness from Dean about what he lost but he understood why Bobby did this and he forgave him. They're back at home, finally, time to rest, and to deal with Sam's powers. Like the others, I don't see any problem with your story, Mal, it's captivating and so well written, I always beg for more and I enjoyed all your other stories too, you're a great author.

Oh, Dean made an early exit out of a hospital once again... had to giggle about his "connection" to things and Bobby who wanted to take care of it. I felt so sorry for both Bobby and Dean as they know about "where" he spent the last 10 days and why he didn't want to come back. I absolutely enjoyed this chapter again as I did with all of them. I also noticed that someone must have put out low ratings and was surprised by it. I saw this happen to another major story a couple months back and there it was clearly a matter of dislike. I hope it is not the case here. As you said, tastes might be different but if so - guys, just stop reading or tell the writer what the problem is instead of just passing out low ratings. Well, as you know there are lots of people on this site who absolutely enjoy your stories and honor the work and creativity you put into it. So - thank you very much!

WOW, fantastic chapter, Glad that Dean is up and about again and seemingly none the worse for the experience except being as weak as a day old kitten. Maybe he should have stayed in the hospital for a few days more, and fobbed off the lady shrink until he was feeling stronger. Looking forward to the next post.

Hey Mal So Dean is on his feet, kind of, and they're back at Bobby's? You're gonna be nice to our boy now, aren't you?? :) If this story is getting low stars then there is nothing you can do to fix the problem because it sure isn't with the story itself! It might be someone that's new to the site, I had problems with the stars when I joined, and doesn't realise that each star is only a half? In fact - it MUST be that because if they don't like this story, there is no hope for the rest of us! Mary x
