So true. This was beautiful - the opening, the lyrics used (played the song before I read this), and the ending. Ah, the ending. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have something in my eye.
"Grand canyon..."
Why did you have to write that?
"...dancing freely, celebrating the end of a night and the start of a new day."
That bit made me disagree with Sam, if only cos of my own personal experience. No, it never makes sense. No, there is no God if he does this to people like Sam and Dean.
But hey, this is fiction. It was very well done. It was excellent. It was moving and heart-rending.
