I like how you wrote Dean's confusion and then his relief when he heard Sammy. A moppy head as a beacon - loved that description!

I like this a lot. Especially the line "Lean forward, man the wheel, focus eyes, concentrate, get us through this raging snowstorm."

Beautiful! I love the wonder and rebellion you've caught in a six year old child. I also love the the end "and Dean sweeps up the planets and stars." It puts everything back to the normality of their lives.

Beautifully written! There's so much to love about this piece! "hoping to send him to his own pine box" is a very determined statement of intent.
"For all the delight his weakening struggles invoke, there’s no rejoicing when his arms finally go slack." Now we know she's had it and she understands that she's been tricked.
"Her last sight on earth's her own bones transforming into flame." A fantastic ending! How she must hate herself for being fooled, the sadness she must feel for knowing she will no longer exist.

Author's Response: Yes- I try to give each of my drabbles some of the atmosphere of whichever song they're named for- I'd actually worked some lyrics into this one-- Glad you liked it!

Awww, I love a shocky Dean! LOL This was a terrific line:
"Oh, there! Sam’s voice just the grounding I need, that moppy head my beacon…" *sniffle*
Love that it's Sammy that gets through to him and provides him some grounding. Lovely!

Wow, this one is definitely my favorite so far. I really enjoyed the image of them sitting at Bobby's table, using various articles of food to represent the planets and stars. Very cool. Too bad it had to end with Sammy upset, but I loved that last phrase about Dean sweeping up the planets and stars.

Love the idea of the boys out in a snowstorm hunting something. It would be cool to see you expand this into a longer fic.

Yeah, was kinda going for the irony, i.e. all the king's horses and all the king's men, etc... but still somewhat debating whether it works, though I like the way it sounds ;)
