Wow, great comparison between Dean and when Edward first gets turned: "A human thrust unwillingly into a land of pain and alien rules, turned into an animal and monster against his will...He knew intimately what thoughts were going through Edwards mind when he tried to distance himself from the one he loved. The right thing, the noble thing. The only thing." So sad.
And this just broke my heart a little for Dean: "Dean smiled sadly. 'I think I understand how vampires feel.' He chuckled wearily. 'And the sad part is...I'm relieved that it's not just me.'"
This was a really neat idea for a fic, and you brought unexpected depth to it. Good job! (BTW--I loved the movie when I saw it! :) )
