Another excellent story. I enjoy the parables you teach and the home values you reinforce with every story. As much as I love Supernatural, a part of me wishes it followed your Brotherhood plot. It's so nice that the Winchesters have someplace to belong and more people who care about them.

I hadn't thought of Daniel Elkins being frightened of Caleb. That was a lightbulb moment! Now I cna't believe I didn't see it before.
Bobby's parting remark made me grin. Good one!

Caleb's moment of fear outside the cabin really gave me the heebie jeebies! He's never shirked from anything before, or come as close to it as he did in this chapter.
Thanks for the information on Williamson Scott's story! I'll have to check it out.

You must have demon blood in you to torture Caleb so! You've just amped up the danger level to defcon 2.
Have I missed a story that tells what Elkins did to Caleb?

awww my only complaint is that it wasn't longer. Great story, great moments between Dean and Caleb. I have to say given the way the season's swinging I'm going to be finding myself delving into the treasures of the Brotherhood more and more and this one's definately a gem. Aww, that was just awesome. Your wind-down moments between Caleb and Dean are always so hilarious. I end up grinning like a loon by the time I'm done reading them. And John was pretty funny here too,piping up about Caleb ratting him out.
Caleb sick is actually pretty funny. And I couldn't stop chuckling at Dean getting the special treatment from Pastor Jim, with Caleb left to wonder and whine.
Too cute, and funny, and just plain awesome.

Hahahahaha. Excellent ending to this chapter. I freakin' love Bobby. I really do.
And it's nice to see John being less of an ass. You're so good at showing him in all his moody glory -- the hard-ass prick that we all know he HAD to have been, along with the fierce but caring father who would do anything for his boys. We know he had the softer side because we saw so much of it before he died. But there's no question the man had to have been a grade-A jerk a lot of the time, considering how many of his friends ended up trying to/wanting to kill him. lol.
Great chapter. O/T -- it would be "sordid" past and not "sorted."

Just to let you know that the quick updates are much appreciated. Your stuff is always worth the wait, but it is nice to be spoled once in a while. I am really enjoying this story and can't wait to see where you take it. Also thanks for including the refernece to "Stranded". It is definitely one of my favorite non-Ridley/Tidia stories and should be a must read for anyone who is addicted to this AU.
