Since I've read this amazing chapter I can't stop connecting it to a certain citation (don't even remember who said this), "I believe in miracles, but even more I do believe we need miracles" and this is exactly what it felt for me when Castiel (Sam was very right, he definitely seems to have a soft spot for Dean, think he admires him in a way) told Sam he passed the test and said it with relief!! That he also granted Sam's wish to step in for Dean when the worst would happen and kill Sam, was very important and took a big load off Sam, think he regained some of his faith; and then the most wonderful of all - "Everyone is worthy of salvation, Sam Winchester. Everyone."! Just wished Castiel could have altered Dean's memories of hell, that's the real tragic here, Dean paid such a terrible price (still does) and doesn't deserve it at all - kind of need him to wake up soon, to see they're at peace with each other, this will help a bit. Grand ride!!!

Hope you are aware I'm having here the time of my life, stunning chapter! Think I know now what you meant by that it depends what "until the bitter end" implicates; as much as I believe Dean won't forsake Sam, never could (and I love him for this), the fact Sam was - albeit unwittingly -  trying to remove a man's soul from his body, this could be the one thing to break Sam completely. Castiel with his doubts (and this was one great character sketch!) was the right one to reveal this frightening truth to Sam, but only Dean can help him now not to give up! WOW!!!

Author's Response: Glad you liked it...this chapter went way into the Land of Speculation, but it seems to have worked out okay!

Two marvellous chapters, it's what I think and hope it will be like in the end, that Dean's choice will be Sam no matter what!; can't tell how much I loved this line, "...he knew deep down that he already made his choice, that he would keep doing everything he could to save his brother, right to the bitter end", absolutely perfect! With Castiel's intervention though everything is still in the balance, wonder and worry what Castiel did to Sam, would he be able to understand? So great, can't wait for the update!!!

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked that line, 'cause it's one of my favorites, too.  And while it's definitely true, I suppose it also depends on your definition of what "the bitter end" might entail...

  I'm really enjoying this story!! Great job! So many secrets---but you can't blame them when they are only trying to protect each other from more hurt. You do a fantastic job with the dialogue between the boys!!! Castiel showing up was a surprise---hope it's a good one!!!Can't wait for more!!
