Ooh! A two for one sale--flits and spirit. Now that's more bang for the buck! We know Dean's better when his sarcasm returns. Looks like he's going to be just fine. Another excellent story! Thank you for sharing it with us, Nessa!
Author's Response: I so totally loved writing this story. And I'm utterly thrilled that you liked it! Thank you for all your reviews.

Evil cliffhanger is right! Time-out for you! Bobby's not having the greatest luck either. I guess hanging out with the winchesters has rubbed off on him. Hopefully, now that the flits are dead, Dean won't be.
Author's Response: Yeah, poor Bobby. I couldn't help myself. :-)

John's training is proving to be as effective as he knew it would. I'm eager to see how Bobby gets rid of the little buggers. He's collected quite an unusual variety of items. Did you invent the evil creatures or did you find them in your research?
Author's Response: I'm so glad you're enjoying it.

Yay! Bobby to the rescue! You described the cold so vividly, you had me wanting to bury myself into a nice warm tub and flannel pyjamas.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words. You brighten my day.

Hi there! - Finally got round to finishing this -- and must say it was a pretty awesome story-- Dean "almost taken out by supernatural mosquitos," was classic :) Well done!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm really happy to hear you liked it.

Hi Vanessa, Well, I was just going to read the first chapter and quit for the night, but here I am plowing through chapter 3. So, frost flits, huh? I've got to ask, did you make that up or find it in some obscure book or website? Or take the medieval idea and add snow to it?? At any rate, I'm enjoying reading this. I was supposed to be writing tonight, but it's just really hard for me to get anything creative or even productive done on a Monday night, you know? Sue
Author's Response: Well, to be honest, they're mostly made up. "Flits" are used in the Dresden Files books and I could have sworn they were found in myths/legends ala fairies. But I couldn't find anything specific on them when I tried to research. So I basically made something up. Glad you enjoyed them!

ness. Ahhhh! Bobbster nuked the nasty flits! Cool! And 'list of Dean's faults'? Nah. that man is just perfection! Nice read, thanks hun. Bev xx
Author's Response: Thank you very much, Bev. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the whole story.

Fun story!!! I like the little drunk fairies.....and Bobbly blowing them up! I thought the wilderness cold weather survival maneuver was priceless.....and Dean wearing a hat to top it all off! Great job!
Author's Response: I'm so happy you enjoyed the read. Thank you so much for leaving a review and letting me know.

Trust Dean to tease Sam about the mouth-to-mouth recuscitation. Had to have a bit of a smile at the little blanket war though. And Dean's reaction to the Frost Flits was a giggle. Bobby's right, though - I think the boys are in for a rough few days with the venom working its way out of Dean's system. I love the way you did Sam's frantic thoughts during the resusc - that made it so tense. That desperation he felt when Dean stopped breathing just leapt off the screen. Thoroughly enjoyed the ride from start to finish, Vanessa. I love your longer stories - it means I get more time to enjoy your work. So, when's the next one? Jules
Author's Response: To be honest, I wasn't sure how this chapter was going to go over--with the kissing jokes etc. Thought people might be a little put off. You liked the little blanket war? YAY! Oh, just YAY. I so wanted people to like that--wasn't sure I pulled it off nicely. I'm also happy that you thought how I set up Sam's thoughts during the rescue breathing made the whole scene tense. That's what I was going for and I debated long and hard over whether to do it like that. In the end, I decided to just "go for it" and I'm glad I did. Thank you VERY MUCH for the awesome reviews on this little tale. I'm going to finish up my other chapter story "In the Darkest of Corners" soon and I'm sure after that I've got more chapter stories to do.

OH...... MY....... GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, my gosh!!! Dean's not breathing!!!! My Deany-Babe's not breathing!!!! Do something! You're right, Ness - what a truly evil cliffie. I really loved the build-up though, with Sam talking about anything and everything while Bobby dosed the Flits. But man, I almost jumped out of my skin when the ghost grabbed Bobby. My jaw just missed the keyboard when it thudded onto the desk. Am really loving this story. But what do you mean you're nervous that I'm reading?...*blinks in bewilderment*... - I'm a short, round middle-aged bookkeeper with fluffy hair, glasses and puppy dog eyes - trust me, I'm the least scary person I know. Ask Petra - she'll confirm it. Anyway, come back soon and fix Dean....poke, poke.... Jules
Author's Response: Heya, Jules. I'm so happy you enjoyed the build up in that chapter. Wasn't sure how that would go over. What did I mean about being nervous? Nothing bad, my friend. Simply that your stories are so...superb...so remarkable... I'm honored that you read mine.

Oh no! Perhaps the breathing thing is just temporary when the flits die? I can't wait to read the next part!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and leaving a review. The next part should be up soon. Glad you liking this tale.

No, no, no, that's just evil to stop here, what happened to Dean? Bobby's plan should have worked, it did I think or did he miss some of these creatures?; is there something else, maybe connected with the lake, aahh really! Sam talking to Dean while holding him was cute though, really liked this brother moment. But now please update!
Author's Response: I promise I will be getting the next chapter up as fast as I can. I was so thrilled with this frantic review. It made me smile. It's good to know you're kinda on the edge of your seat.

Thank heavens Bobby has arrived. Now at least Sam isn't alone in his battle to save Dean from the frost flits' deadly venom. Excellent idea of Bobby's to nudge Sam into basic first aid and wilderness survival - sometimes when you're so worried about someone, the most obvious things escape your attention because you're so distracted by and focussed on the problem. Sort of like not being able to see the forest for the trees. And he's really got to start forgiving himself for taking that leak. It wasn't his fault. Hope that whatever concoction Bobby has brewed up will counter the flits' deadly intent. Jules
Author's Response: Wow--what a wonderful surprise to wake up to all these lovely reviews! Can I just say that I'm very excited to know you're reading this story, but I super nervous too to know you're reading it. I'm happy to hear that you've been enjoying each and every chapter. Thank you for taking the time to read and especially to leave these reviews. It is much appreciated. More to come soon.

Poor Sam - I know those lonely bedside vigils only too well. And you do go out of your mind, waiting and worrying, even if you do have something to do to take your mind off the loved one in the bed beside you. Thank heavens Bobby has managed to come through the storm unscathed, and he can now pick up the pace and get to the boys. And Dean - even though he was pretty much out of it, he still responded to a potential threat when Sam pushed the chest of drawers across the door. But my heart went out to him when he pleaded with Sam to let him go to the warm place, not realising that he would be going to his death. Hurry, Bobby! Jules

Frost flits - supernatural mosquitoes - poor Sam. And poor Dean - if he pulls out of this, there's going to be some serious blackmail material for either Sam or Bobby to use. And I had to wince at the ticklish feet - I have extremely ticklish feet. A friend once asked me about going and getting a foot massage, and I looked at her as if she'd just sprouted alien antenna from her head. No one touches my feet! Ugh! Gives me shivers just thinking about it. Oh, Sammy - my heart went out to him at that last line, when he saw how bad Dean was getting and his hands started shaking. All jokes aside, Dean's in a bad way, and getting worse by the minute. Hope Bobby can shave a few minutes off his trip...the boys really need him... Jules

Okay, two things - well, three things Love Sam in big brother mode Love Dean in befuddled mode Love Bobby in any mode So his temp is dropping and something is luring him outside. Wonder if that's what has affected the victims whose deaths the boys were looking into. Sam better have eyes in the back of his head for this one, especially if whatever this thing is calls Dean outside again. No hot shower for Sammy, I suppose.... Thank heavens for Bobby. But that was a pretty ominous line of his about racing the clock..... Jules
