Great to see an update and already looking forward to the next one.

Not sure why, but I'm expecting Sam's infection to be supernatural in origin, something to do with Carrie being possessed when she shot him.  No doubt though, you're going to make things much worse before they get properly better.

Totally love the banter between the brothers about Dean's non panic attack. And I certainly think the kitten has it in for Dean whilst loving Sam.

Did I say I loved this update? and can't wait for the next?

Fantastic as usual.

Must admit I was only thinking about this story a few days ago, and wondering whether it was finished. Problem was I couldn't remember what it was called or who wrote it, just the story line. So you can be assured it's made a big impression and I'm so glad I'd made it a favourite.

Dean having panic attacks, who'd have thought it? Hero Dean in my head never suffered from panic, not really - ok maybe when Sam is missing. But I loved your writing of the whole experience, and I love that Sam recognised it too despite how poorly he is. 

Looking forward to more.

After everything that happened no wonder that Dean collapsed. Carrie was possessed by red smoke and it's why Sam is thinking that maybe there're hope for Carrie, himself and for Alan and Dean too. So intriguing, I want more already. Thanks Muffy for the update, it was worth the wait.

Ooooooh. Now we know who shot Sam, and it sounds like something supernatural was involved. Could it be that Sammy is about to use his research skills again - another step to recovery?

I hope your recovery continues to go well so that Sam's recovery can continue at a steady pace too.

Ohhh the AnGsT.... is killing me.... slowly... and painfully....

Two intense chapters in a row is more than I can take, but I'm a masochist because I love it! 

Sam's memories and Dean's! God, Dean breaking down outside of Sam's room after his talk with Alan broke my heart! That was pain!! PAIN. Keep it coming. :) :)

Wonderful to have you back, hope you're feeling better!! Another lovely chapter, beautifully written; the flashbacks showed how connected these two brothers are and that Dean wouldn't have made it without Sam, really "two hearts that beat as one"! And there is now some improvement, Sam is a bit better I think, what feels so good!!
