Go, Dean, go! lol... Great chapter. Dean's anger is understandable and I'm sure he'll get over it. Poor Sammy, though, he must feel so guilty. Glad Dean's on his way to walking again. I'm sure he'll be able to hunt as well, he's a fighter, and he's too stubborn to give up. I love this story. Looking forward to the rest of it.
Author's Response: I am glad you are on board with this. Dean is definitely a fighter and if anyone can get past this and get back to hunting it is him! Happy you are liking this story so much, more to come. Thanks for the review! Seth

Well, I guess Dean is still in the anger stage of grief for his leg. I do like that he wants to walk badly and will do everything possible to do so. I hope he will really let Sam in soon.
Author's Response: Yeah Dean is pretty angry isn't he? It is a good thing that he wants to walk badly and he is Dean Winchester so he really won't let anyone get in his way (but himself). As for Sam, I think it's gonna take some more time. Thanks for the review! Seth

This was so heartbreaking! You did it, you took his leg. Whaaa.... Sure there are lots of things one can do with a prosthetic leg, but I'm not sure he can hunt supernatural things like that. Perhaps now, Dean will be the one to live a "normal" life where as Sam will continue to hunt. Now, that would be ironic!
Author's Response: I think there is a lot more that Dean can do with a prosthetic leg than anyone thinks. This isn't a peg leg after all it's a sophisticated piece of equipment specially designed for his needs. Now the thought that Dean would lead a normal life and Sam would continue hunting is an interesting one...guess we'll see how it plays out. Thanks for the review! Seth

No, no, no! You can't take his leg, purty plaease! Poor Dean, poor Sam! This is just so heartbreaking!
Author's Response: While I love your "purty please!" and it really is heartbreaking, I gotta go the realistic route on this darlin'. Thanks for the review! Seth

Ouch, Bobby! I know he's hurting but that was kinda harsh laying that load on Hank because he really did try his best and the only reason Dean is still clinging to life is because of Hank. I truly hope Dean doesn't lose his leg because that will literally kill him I think. Looking forward to the next part.
Author's Response: Yeah Bobby's reaction toward Hank was a bit harsh, but I really feel it was in character. I mean these are the people that are closest to family for the guy and I think he just needs someone to blame. As for it killing Dean to lose his leg, I think he is a lot stronger than you think ;) Thanks for the review! Seth

Heh--well, only four or five days out from surgery and Dean sure is coping remarkably well. It's miraculous. I would have thought he'd not even want to be in the same room with Sam but I guess his hidden rage is enough. And he already found a place to stay.
Author's Response: Thanks for that bit of thinly veiled sarcasm, Vanessa. But I guess I just figured that if Dean could still stomach the sight of Sam after spending the equivalant of 40 years in Hell(30 years of it being tortured relentlessly) he's not gonna kick Sam out of his life because of an accident he had no control over. And yeah, Dean's a pretty resourceful guy, I think he could manage to find a place to stay even being "maimed." Seth

That was fast, getting fitted up with a prosthetic limb. How does Sam think he is, 'He's not going to allow' huh!! Please update soon. Looking forward to the next chapter
Author's Response: LOL yeah I know Sam is fooling himself if he thinks he can stop Dean from doing anything he sets his mind to! As for the fitting, believe me darlin' I have done my research and often in hospitals they fit amputees with temporary prostetics. Then later they are fitted with ones that are custom made to suit the individual needs of the person. Thanks for teh review! Seth

Seth, i am not pleased that you took Dean's leg. but i have to commend you on your belief and not backing down from it. you are being true to you and that is all that counts! i have a friend who lost his arm up to his shoulder and the things he can do; well it amazes me......he didn't give up. hope the next chapter will be soon. can't wait to see how Hank helps Dean. oh and have Sam get over his guilt. Renee
Author's Response: Thanks for understanding why his leg had to go. It's really nice to see that though people don't necessarily agree with the decision they are respecting it and are willing to continue to offer me their support. Thanks for being one of them! Seth

You know what? I was hoping they didn't take Dean's leg, but truthfully it makes perfect sense, and now that I've read this chapter I believe it was the best way to go. And you're right, I'm sure Dean's strong enough to overcome this. :) I loved how you described Sam's guilt, and Dean's anger, which is perfectly understandable... It's gonna be pretty angsty from now on, looking forward to that :) Awesome chapter, and awesome story. 10/10
Author's Response: Glad you can see why I went this way. I know the idea of Dean losing a limb is a hard one to accept for all you Deangirls out there but then I get to show just how strong he really is. I'm glad that I am describing Sam and Dean's feelings well and there is definitely more angst to come. Looks like I'll be delving into my inner Sammy for the next little while! I know how you fangirls love your angst. Thanks for the review! Seth

Great job Seth! GOtta say I was NOT loving the idea of Dean's leg being amputated...but I do agree that Dean wouldn't take this lying down... His whole life he had fought against insurmountable odds. He had survived so many times where others would have packed it in and called it a day. He was a fighter. A survivor. The only difference this time was he had to fight harder to prove he could do it, because quiting wasn't an option for a Winchester. This is the truest statement of Dean Winchester...he is WAY strong and that more than just physical strength...though you gotta love all those muscles!!!! *sigh* Keep it up this is a great story showcasing the strength of my Dean! No growling this time...unless you want me too;)
Author's Response: Aww, thanks, Darlin'. I think people can do amazing things even while disabled if given the chance. I don't think Dean would just curl up in a corner somewhere and give up. You know I love the growling. Thanks for reading. Seth

Sorry for expressing an opinion, Heather. I was not discrediting Seth, just expressing my view on stories such as this. Again, the story is fine for those enjoying it. I have said I enjoyed it as well but was disappointed in the direction it took.
Author's Response: While I appreciate you voicing your opinion and I respect it, Vanessa. I am finding it hard to understand why you are continuing to read if you are not enjoying it anymore. Believe me I am not looking to lose you as a reader, but I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve by repeating your dislike of the direction I have taken. Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to continue to read, in any case. Seth

Great chapter, Poor Dean I hope he learns to cope and works through the problems he'll have to face, Update soon, Please. Thanks..
Author's Response: Yeah, you know Dean. It takes him a bit of time to accept things but once he realizes that there is hope for him to hunt again he will give it his all. Glad you're enjoying, thanks for the review! Seth

Wow,great chapter, i didn't expect that with Hank. I can see what your trying to say with this story now and i'm really looking forward to reading more.
Author's Response: Thanks Darlin', glad you can see my vision for this little tale now. happy you liked the Hank part. Thanks for the review! Seth!

I'm kidding, well done. I see some angst coming and from what I can tell, it's gonna be great! :D Well done!
Author's Response: Oh cool, no cowering required! Thanks for the clarification! Seth

You took his leg, even after I threatened you with a pitchfork. Brave man, Brave Brave man.
Author's Response: Umm, should I be cowering? You're not really gonna use that thing are ya? I guess I am brave, but it was the only way things could go and be believable. I really did look for ways to save his leg, but nothing sounded right. Thanks for the review and for not pitchforking me! Seth

amazing chapter.... i agree with u...im actually glad u stuck with your original story and didnt change it just to make us fangirls happy....amputees are every bit as capable as other people and i admire that you put this in because you thought dean could too...again awesome job and any one of you fangirls have a problem with this just get over it and read a different story if you dont like it...at least give seth some credit for at least for trying to make you all happy...this is one of my favorite stories so far and im looking forward to how its gonna turn out...update soon please :D:D *Heather
Author's Response: Hey Heather! Thanks for your support and understanding. I really had to follow this storyline through. I'm glad you agree that Dean can definitely get through this. Thanks for the defense, Darlin' but don't go making any enemies on my account ;) Seth

I'm still with ya, Dude, nice job dealing with both the boys emotions, as for Hank's handicap, very nice twist. - Kel ;)
Author's Response: Thanks for sticking with me, Kel. Glad you think I'm handling the boys emotions well...I'm not much for chick flick moments...but I know you fangirls like that kind of stuff so I'm getting in touch with my Sammy side (don't tell Dean!)! Happy you liked the Hank twist. Thanks for the review! Seth

So close and yet so far. Poor Sam having to leave, and even more so poor Dean, hearing him leave but unable to do enough to make his presence known. I'm rivetted with this story. Great writing.

Sorry you dislike the word maimed. I'm not trying to be mean. I enjoyed the first couple of chapters of your story immensely. But I admit to being bothered by the turn it took. To the point of not being able to sleep. I guess people would say that's the sign of a good story. I still don't buy that he could return to hunting. A relatively normal, every day life--sure--but hunting?
Author's Response: Sorry you're not buying it darlin', but I have done my research and people have returned to jobs just as physically demanding if not more so. Thanks for your imput. Seth

Hi Seth, very interesting discussion going on here about cutting off Dean's leg or not. Well, if you want to keep it realistic, it has to go - sigh. It is a tough fate but there is worse... I know someone with the lower part of his left leg gone. He made life work for him again! So, let's see where you will take us! Looking forward to more. Your writing style is intriguing and the feelings you create are strong (I guess reading all the reviews proves my point -lol).
Author's Response: Thanks for the vote of confidence! Loved the sigh, you're right there are worse fates. Glad you're enjoyiing, more to come. Thanks for the review! Seth

Another great update, please please save Dean's leg and poor Sam from all of that guilt, you know you want to lol.
Author's Response: You know I would love to find a way to save his leg and make it believable, but I don't think that's gonna happen. Believe me darlin' I searched far and wide for something that would ring true and not be a cop out. Thanks for the review! Seth

I'm am a huge hospital drama junkie (after all I got my fanfic start writing for the old show Emergency)but, dear God, I hate stories where one of the boys is permanently maimed. :-( Good prosthetics or not, Dean's life as he knows it is over. (((sigh))) I can appreciate your need for realism, but I can't bring myself to like it.
Author's Response: I gotta say I really dislike the word maimed. There is no basis to say that Dean's life as he knows it is over. True it will take a great deal of work to get it back, but there is no reason to believe that Dean would be unable to hunt after he recovers. I really feel you aren't giving Dean enough credit here. I know people who have lost limbs, people who have gone right back to all the things they were able to do before their accidents. Like I said it took hard work and the will to do it. I hope you stick around long enough for me to show you that. Thanks for the review. Seth
