Another good story. I liked the insight into how Dean may have been comparing himself and his time in Hell with his fathers own experiences. Its a shame that Dean doesn't know how amazing he is sometimes and I liked that Sam helped put the recprd straight and told Dean exactly that in the end. What better setting for reflection than the Grand Caynon, so sweet of Sam to take a recovering Dean there. Not only would it have been a nice surprise because Dean has always wanted to see it, but I think it was good for Dean's soul too, I think it has rejuvenated him a little.
Very nicely written and who better to take care of Dean when Sam isn't nearby than John? Even if John might have been in Dean's imagination, it was what helped him hold on until help arrived, which was an excellent way to write Dean surviving after such a fall.

I loved it!! Great chapter!! Dad's there! And the reveal that dad broke in hell was supposed to make Dean feel better......but not poor guity Dean:( I like Protective!Sam snarling at the rescuers when they jarred the branch. Just great!

Author's Response: So glad you liked it! And that you noticed that small part about Sam going all protective and snarling makes me extra giddy - I didn't know if anybody would consciously notice it since Dean was fading at the time. Thanks a lot for the great review!

Great story.
love John talking to Dean and keeping him awake until Sam arrived.
the last chapter was great Dean needs to know how great he is.
they need to do that more in the show.
good job at expressing how Sam feels about Dean.

I have just got caught up with your story and really loved it. I was quite worried there for awhile with Dean being impaled on that branch. YOWZA! I hope Dean will take to heart what his brother and his dad have been trying to tell him. Great read!
