That's a nice little AU pre season piece. I really quite enjoyed it, even while I was trying to come to terms with the idea of Sam finding Dean in that forest and it not being an hallucination.

That was a very nice alternate beginning. Dean's slow downwards spiral was very convincing. I especially liked the line about using other people as a defining characteristic. And I liked this slightly more damaged Sam, he seemed more intense than canon.

Thank you.  I just have difficulty believing that three years away, two in radio silence is enough to just De-Winchesterize anyone, especially when we see how quickly Sam falls back into his role as hunter.
