I think you did very well with the first person POV Rae. You captured Dean wonderfully. Now only if we could capture him in real life. Mwahaha! And I love the poem you used at the beginning, it suits Dean to a T.

You have a marvelous way with the angst - just the right Dean pitch in my opinion!!!! LOL.
Well I believe your experiment was a success because for me you nailed Dean's tone - his thoughts flowed exactly how I imagine they would, loved the way you represent his guilt in the mirror. Amazing stuff. The interplay between the brothers was spot on too. They still have the time honoured snarkiness (LOL at Dean selling Sammy to the circus!!!!!) but your right it has changed. In Dean's time away - and also the lead up to hell - both Winchesters perfecting their masks leaves them in more of a grey zone. Exciting times season 4!!!! (Or at least it would be once it gets going here in the UK!!!!)

Thank you so much! Angst...I'm a sucker for it, a glutton for punishment, lol.
The poem is one that always sticks out in my mind and mirrors are such fascinating things - I used to have a fear of looking in the mirror on a night incase I saw the flicker of something behind me, terrible. He he, and the circus bit, one of my fave lines in the thing. ^_^
He he, I'm in total agreement, they need to start showing Supernatural in the UK straight away. I'm getting bored of watching tiny little bad quality videos.

Oh wow. I liked the way you wrote Dean's reflection, that was creepy. Fortunately Sam woke his brother up. Poor Dean can't forgive himself... *sigh* This was amazing even though very sad.
