Love the Exlax allusion! You've got the banter down to a T. Great work! Oh and the 'trust me, I care' face! Had me laughing out loud. Freaking awesome! That was a really nice piece of fiction. Very well written for someone who's not posted here before. Really well! I'm not sure how interested you are in hearing this, but the feeling it leaves you with is slight melancholy, but also a little hope. In my mind I was imagining Sam and Dean meeting the young marine years later and making new army friends who have no idea what the boys really hunt :) Oooh! You should totally make a sequel!! :D Anyways, great job! Cheers. Andi.

Just read sierra's story and found the link to this through her fave list. Very pleased I did. I'v also done a stint in the military and as a nurse had more conversations like this than I can remember. Beautifully writen and VERY real, fantastic descriptions of surroundings and emotions this is a gem, and I'm adding it to my fav list too!
Author's Response: Oh, gosh, I owe Sierra a thanks, then, if she led you to my story. Thank you so much! I'm especially glad the story rang true for you, given your background an experiences. That really means a lot to me, and I'm very pleased you stopped by. Thank you for reading, and thanks for such a generous review! :-) Cheers ~

Wow. Thank you for writing such an amazing piece! I was hoping it would be this good when I read the summary, and I sure wasn't disappointed. I loved the soldier's character, he was so...real. I'm a soldier myself, and I've spent time in Iraq, so when you started describing how he can't stand fireworks and freaks out on the highway, it kind of choked me up a little bit. And that's saying A LOT. Loved how Sam and Dean handled it all, and when you pulled out the girl's name my heart just broke for poor Sammy :( Awesome job!
Author's Response: Gosh, this is perhaps the nicest review I've gotten. To hear from someone who *knows* what my fictional soldier has seen, first-hand, is really awesome, and I'm so glad you felt I got it right. This is giving away my age a little, lol, but my husband is a Vietnam combat vet, and while he doesn't freak over stuff now, he's told me how it was when he first got back. So I tried hard to be true to what a soldier sees, and I'm glad you think I made it work. Thank you *so* much for reading, and thank you for the wonderful review. You've made my whole week. :-) Cheers ~
