Been slowly following along......really enjoy stories about their childhoods.  It was nice to see learn about the back-story of the Winchesters and Harrisons.  Quite a complex past....that leads into their complex future.  Great job, as usual:)

Damn... Looks like trouble's ahead. Well, even more troubles, lol. So, october, that's far away. But I will be back for their next adventure.

It's so sad to think they never saw Evelyn and Tom again... Another traumatism in those boys' lives.

It's completely heart breaking. They're all so broken. Glad to see Bobby's always ready to help.

Holy c***. Oh Mags, this is so sad. I hate John I hate John I hate John. Wow, really, what a chapter, got me all teary-eyed. Thinking what the girls will go through after that, things could have been so different... Looking forward to the end of this story, and the next in the series.

OH MY STARS!  that was so long awaited and even better than I'd imaigned.  It nearly broke my heart to see the two families torn apart.  How terribly sad, even worse we know how wretched their lives become without one another.

"The boys aren’t going to college, and I highly doubt their gonna be businessmen and lawyers.”  A slick bit of irony.  Hee!

Oooh!  How exciting!  Finally we know what the creature is and how it came to be in Valley.  And we're seeing how Dean and Kerri's life paths begin to change.

I love how you capture the way the children are trying to find their ways in their family's.  They've always been able to deal with the world but coping with their traditional familial roles has taken more effort.  I can see the their struggles and why they chose the paths they did and what it cost them to do so.  Amazing job!

All the news about Kerri losing her ability to concentrate is alarming.  That must be the beginning of her figuring out what Tom had done to her.

What's up with Kerri's reaction to Tom not noticing she was gone for twelve hours?  The obvious would be that she'd been missing and her father hadn't noticed or hadn't cared enough to discuss it with her.  I get the feeling though that there might be something more to the story.

Uh oh!  Dean had to jinx everything by thinking the year would be good.

What a sad chapter.  Dean and Sam at odds with one another and Sam thinking that he would always have his family and the Harrisons.

Ironic that he thinks the only thing he could count is the ground beneath his feet when we all know it opens up and swallows him later.

Yeah well, my litle finger tells me Dean won't be smiling for very long... Great chapter, showing every kids' fears, and their close relationships.

Oh, too unfair, can't they enjoy one quiet moment...

Oh, great, loved that chapter, nice trip, I hope you'll give us more soon...

Beautiful chapter!  It's nice that Dean and Kerri get occasional breaks from their complicated lives.

I wonder, when Kerri turns her thoughts inward, if it has anything to do with Tom making her a human computer or if it's just ordinary zoning out?

I so like how you write the kids, their normal fights and concerns in their not normal life...

ah, siblings... Hard to live with them, impossible without...

I'm reading this story in two sites so if I don't review here, I will on the other....  Anyway it is one of my favorite series.... Love the relationships between the younger too... you have their personalities down.... Dean is trying so hard to make this the best time ever and doesn't seem to be reaching Sam but as he is reminded Sam is trying to show he can take care of himself.... but we all know there is more to that.... so can't wait for more.... thanks for sharing your stories

Camping?  So not a good idea!  Who is Dean kidding?

Another great chapter!  I liked the fight between Ev and Sam---just another example of the normal he doesn't appreciate.

I don't think Sam realizes how normal his home life really is.  The feelings he has for his dad and brother and the relationships he has with the Harrisons are very normal.  You do an excellent job illustrating that by emphasizing the contrast!

Oh, so sad, poor Dean. And Sam, damn brat! As for Kerri and Dean, they're so great together...

Your insight is so complex.  You manage to expose every angle of a situation and help us to feel as if each reason is ours.  I feel so sorry for Dean but I also sympathize with the people around him and why they want him to do what they feel he needs to do.

Great explanation for the photo in John's journal!  Cool how you slip in those little things to tie your series to the show.

Each character views the futures of the two families so differently.  Through these different perspectives we're able to get a more accurate picture of each memeber and see what their hopes and fears and motivations truly are.  Brilliant!

Author's Response: thank you so much for the awesome reviews, i'm glad you're enjoying it. :) i love writing them as kids. i am really having fun showing their lives from different views.

The friendship between Dean and Kerri is so genuine and deep.  I love how you express what they feel toward and think about one another.  Kerri's thoughts about Dean help me to see him like I hadn't before.  You have such a gift for adding layers of depth to your characters.  They abecome real people with complex emotions and thoughts and hopes.  We see their strengths and weaknesses and the motives for their behavior.  It's so incredible!

I like Ev's positive attitude about beating the Winchesters.  She's determined, that's for certain.  And she knows her strengths and how to manipulate people just like a kid.  But knowing what happens to her, it makes me also see things in a different perspective when it comes to her.
