Didn't get Yan down here - not that I can remember. We had Sally Hembrow and Peter Russell-Clark..."Where's the cheese??".

As for Dean's battle with the swede - which is a sort of turnip? - all I can say is OUCH!

Can sympathise, though - there have been times when I've wanted to take a machete or a chainsaw to a Qld Blue pumpkin. If ever there was an evil vegetable, that was it.

LOL, no wonder he preferred burgers in later life.

Too cute.

This was cute: "Sam needing nutrition was one thing, but the little geek had sure as heck never consider becoming vegetarian! Dean didn’t think he could cope. The peeling and the chopping and the skinning of the knuckles!!" LOL And that there is my main problem with healthy eating. ;)

But this was my favorite part (aside from the mental image of Dean attacking the vegetable with a machete): “'Son – maybe we ought to stick to Lucky Charms and Spaggettio’s next time huh?' Dean consented silently … there was a reason God had invented the Take-out. " ROTFL Too funny!

Thanks for the great review - I am glad it made you laugh.

I also have real issues with the struggle to stay healthy - the fight goes on!!!! :-)

I guessed that Dean might be like-minded after watching a scene in the pilot (for the millionth time!!!!) when Dean offers Sam his version of a breakfast at a truck stop - I'm sure Snickers SHOULD be in a major food group of it's own!!!!!

Thanks again for taking the time to  make me smile.

It is a bit random isn't it? I had a kind of daydream - yes those boys really HAVE infiltrated the WHOLE of my life!!!!!!! I thought I'd try my hand at something less dark than my current Multi-chapter story.

Hope it made you smile??!!!

I remember Yan Can Cook but I feel dumb... what exactly is a swede?  I'm guessing either root (like a turnip) or squash.  If it's anything like trying to cut up an acorn squash I can identify!

Author's Response:

Thank you for your great review. Hooray - another Yan Fan! Swede is a root veg - you have educated me about Acorn Squash though!!! LOL. Supernatural - the things you learn!!!!! ;-)

I appreciate your taking the time to review this piece.

Cheers Abi.

I remembered Yan Can Cook! i used to watch him and morbidly think what would happen if he slipped on the knife and bled all over his kitchen in front of the audience. LOL

Love the story. And the fact that Dean made an enemy of the veg. Maybe that's why he prefers pie now. LOL

Author's Response:

Yea!!!! I am NOT alone!!!!! Yan will go on with you and me!!!! LOL! He was so smiley and happy - your morbid thoughts may just have been trying to create balance!!!!!!

Veg becoming Dean's nemesis at such a young age - totally understands why he "Loves him some Pie!!!!" Think your pie line definitely trumps "Takeout".

Thank You for the review - so glad you liked it.
