Thanks for explaining the references. I was going to look them up on the internet later, but now I don't have to do it. I was able to gather enough from Dean's attitude to vaguely understand his meaning.
"Dean always dove head first into trouble like it was a hot tub full of playboy bunnies." Too funny!
I like Russell more and more as the story progresses.

"Nate, show us the person that your mother would remember you as." What a touching way to help Nathaniel recall who he truly is. It shows Dean's humanity and compassion.
The speech patterns and grammar is done quite well. This is such an excellent piece! A real joy to read!

Every chapter fits one more piece of puzzle for us. now we have the guy in the black truck that Dean met at the post office.
Cute how Dean introduces Sam to the ghost. I have a sneaking suspicion that Nathaniel Willard will end up helping the Winchesters. Hopefully, they can put him at rest in return.

Another spectacular chapter! what a brilliant idea to have the sin eater keep Dean company, keep him fighting. You've made him such a sympathetic character. I feel sorry for Nathaniel Willard.

Excellent story! I first heard of a Sin Eater thanks to an old Night Gallery episode that had Richard Thomas in it. (John Boy from the Waltons, he also played in IT.)
