That was one of the best ending to a story I have read in a long time. I really loved the way you had Sam just sit up and shout "DEAN" that was cool. Thank God you came to your senses and let Dean and Sam live. I might have had to form a posse and gone looking for ya! :)

Fantastic finish! I've always subscribed to the idea that Dean and Sam were a sort of "balance" one to another - so it was cool to see someone else write that. Awesome story! I really enjoyed it!

I’m coming home to you, Sammy… *sobbing uncontrollably here* The worst of it is, I think this is pretty much how it would go, whether Sam died in this way, or (God forbid) if Dean had to kill him. If Sammy goes, Dean would be right behind him. You don't have to run for cover hon, but you do have to come out VERY SOON and save me. I mean us.

Oh my...THAT BETTER NOT BE REAL TIME MISSY!!!!! *composes self* Yet another great chapter. I loved the M and M's and poker. This was a very emotional chapter. Dean saying that he was with family on Christmas and nodding to Sam...so great. Just please...please...please keep Dean from being a pancake. How tall is this building? He could survive a fall...right? *looks around for an expert on the subject* And Sammy...he needs to wake up...he needs to be alright...*grabs SNSam from hiding* Save them!

Stephanie - not many stories have actually made me cry, but this chapter did. "WHY DID YOU HAVE TO TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ME?” I screamed almost those exact words to the sky after my man died ten years ago. I know just how Dean felt - you captured it perfectly - the pain, and the hopelessness, and the underlying anger. This a beautifully written story, and I will read it over and over again. I like your idea that Sam and Dean do good everywhere, not just in the supernatural world. I think their relationship strengthens goodness - whether they are performing acts of heroism or not! The bond they have is a gift to the world in its own right. Great chapter, looking forward to more!

I just loved that line, Stephanie - that just sums it up beautifully what Sam feels for Dean. This was a supurb chapter in so many ways - it was heartbreaking in that Sam had to see Dean's death at the hands of the demon that had taken the rest of his family, but it also was important for him to see that he plays an important part in his big brother's life - that he can't just walk away from that. This truly deserves its status as a featured story. Thank you so much for sharing this. Jules

Even if it was a vision of Dean's future if Sam wouldn't never have been in Dean's life, it was heartbreaking to see Dean died and he didn't have the chance to kill the YED. That was an amazing chapter. I so can't wait for the next chapter.

I couldn't have John be the third guide because I didn't want him and Sam to fight the entire time. He needed to be guided, not beat down for his decisions and ordered. I have their mom as a guide because Sam never got to know her and this was his chance at that. I hope you continue to read!

Another great piece! Loved the way you had Dean go down fighting with the YED. I felt bad for Sammy though, seeing his brother die could not have been easy.
