We all got a glimpse of Sam's anguish and despair during these first months without his brother from watching the episode, but to see it actually written down is overwhelming ("He wanted to be numb", dear God), grand writing! Loved their talk, Sam finally telling Dean how he felt and Dean realizing that his brother without him really would be lost (as we know they had to endure it, what makes the read even more intense!). Fantastic!!

Very descriptive, emotional and well written chapter. I loved the dialogue. I felt that you really captured how might have been feeling after "Mystery Spot." I always wished that Sam would have told Dean about what happened with the Trickster. This could have definitely been a scene in a episode after that. Excellent job!

Very nice. This was exactly the kind of story I was looking for tonight. Season 3 is one of my favorite settings for fics. I think you did a really good job describing Sam's state after Mystery Spot.

Wow. Great story. The pain that Sam felt after all of those months...well, I never was very satisfied with the way the show just let it slip away. Dean would have noticed and I have no doubt your story would have come true onscreen in some form or another had it been allowed to continue. I love it! You did a very wonderful job of writing this and your characterization was just phenomenal! I especially like how you wrote Dean. The older brother always there to protect Sam. Wonderful story!!
