Poor Dean - wondering whether Sam hated him, and Sam trying to come to terms with what his big brother has suffered. Those boys - you just want to hug them and never let them go, don't you? The symmetry with the boys both getting a feast to celebrate was lovely. And icing on the cake was Bobby turning up. I so love Bobby. And my soul is singing after that warm and fuzzy happy ending. Thank you for that - the mental image of them sitting side by side watching a cartoon - awesome!....Jules

I read this over at ff.net but decided to come 'home' to review - and of course treated myself by reading it again... Ness, you have this ability to make my heart clench with sadness and sing with joy all at the same time with a stroke of your pen. And you did it again with this lovely Thanksgiving fic. Dean's "Do you hate me?" made me ache for him while Sam's shock that his brother would think this just leapt out the page. I loved the whole celebration surprise (well you and I DID give the worlds biggest squee over AVSC!) your description put us right in that room. Bobby dropping by added to their treat, and his open thanks for Dean was a lovely touch Ness. But I gotta tell you, the boys giving thanks for each other just stole the show. I absolutely loved how you wrote Dean's awkwardness and Sam's straight forwardness. You portrayed their closeness to perfection. I think they deserved this little breathing space you gave them. Thanks for this gentle fic. And your last line - just perfect.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Loved it, they so needed and deserved this Thanksgiving (and I needed it, too) - Sam's heartfelt "Yeah, me too, Dean. I've always been thankful for you - now more than ever" and Dean's "...they had something extra special for which to be thankful. And he was once again sitting at Sam's side" so perfectly expressing it. Wonderful from beginning to end!
