Well the site lost my long review so here I go again attempting to recreate it! Ridley and Tidia(sorry Tidia only just realised this is a co-written story) I love this story. You girls write action so vividly Im completely sucked in, heart rate increase and everything. I loved the confrontation with Rose, and the whole trap thing. I especially love the bits were Dean manipulates water - they are truly magical and I find my jaw dropping open in awe and wonder every time. And my poor Joshua!! Im so glad you gave us the glimpses of the future so I know he will survive, because otherwise I would have totally believed you were about to kill him off, and in that case I'd just have to hunt you down - and don't try to run coz I'd find you lol! However since I know we are not losing this wonderful character I have to confess to absolutely loving the Josh hurt and deadly peril ( what can I say its a sickness!) I loved seeing the boys trying to save him and get him to hang on. And Dean's last line just broke me. Also glad to see Ruby evil and then dead - Kripke take note!! Honestly your writing gives me so much pleasure. Ive had a crappy few days and this update was just what the Doctor ordered. So thanks for all the joy you girls provide with this wonderful au and excellent and 3dimensional characters. Can't wait for the next update, need to see how my Josh is doing, also very worried about Dean's impending expiry date. Oh and really curious as to whether Harland will manage to show any real concern for his critically ill son?

Joshua will be fine. Joshua has to be fine. Joshua will marry Carolyn, have kids, and live a long life. Joshua has to be okay so we can all have fun on him and Caleb the day Mackland and Esme will finally officialize. Joshua is part of the family. We love Joshua. And he will be fine.

okay, question, maybe it is because I'm french and I missed it because it was too subtle, but Carmine never said which family the brooch belongs to, right? Anyway, great chapter, the Triad and Advisor roles bring a whole new layer in the relation between the boys. I so love this extended family, after so much stories you'd think we're now completely familiar with the characters, but we always learn something new. Four to five chapters, huh... Very long ones I hope...

Great chapter! I'm fascinated that everything leads back to Wyoming and Samuel Colt's Triad!

another wonderful update. Loving this story. Really great to see Missouri back, and playing favourits lol. I think its great and so believeable the way Josh is so gallant with the women in the brotherhood. It makes perfect sense since he was raised by a single mum, while the others were all raised by men in male dominated relationships, so kudos for another little touch of psychological realism for your characeters. It was also great how Caleb was so concerned for Dean that he was willing to blow off the hunt for Riley - another bit of excellent and true character detail. L:iked Carmine too! You really have me on the edge of my seat. I hope you will continue to write in this AU long after SN ends. Your AU has become as powerful and neccessary to me as the actual show. Thanks again for all your efforts.

Oh boy talk about racheting up the ante, that's an awesome update with so much in it. Dean owns more property, Ruby may have a use, Riley is being used and the entire Brotherhood looks to be in danger...again, and Sammy has an admirer! Wonderful. Already wanting next weeks update to come early.

So very good! I love you guys stories! I keep going back to Hunter's Tomb and rereading them! I am sorry that I'm not good at editing or reviewing or something that would be helpful. But I love to read and I really enjoy these stories and this is one of my favorite series of Supernatural. I love the Brotherhood! Thanks guys!

Enjoyed this so much the first time around and feeling the need for some Brotherhood love, I've reread it, and have to say its even better second time around. I just so love Dean as guardian trying to do the right thing even when feeling out of his depth and out of time. His almost desperate desire to be the guardian and live up to everyones expectations is tangible. Hoping Chapter 2 won't be long in coming.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! It's fun to write Dean wanting to be The Guardian, especially since he didn't want it and didn't believe he deserved it in the beginning. I know he's a little different than cannon Dean but we really want to mirror changes that we've seen in Dean this season, but keep that loveable big brother 'I want to save everybody I love' Dean.

what an opening! wow... Promising of another awesome story. Dean sounds more and more like the Guardian, love Caleb and Josh, and can't wait to see what'll happen with Rose and Ruby. Did I say awesome? :)
Author's Response: Thank you. We were hoping Dean would come across as slowly accepting his role, and actually wanting to fulfill it.

Wow Ridley the josh girl in me was on my feet cheering at that last bit : ) I loved seeing Dean want and accept Josh as a valued member of the brotherhood - admitting Jim had been right to include him. I also loved that Caleb wanted him to stay and now sees him as extended family - yet I love how they are still snarky with each other - the whole nickname thing was great. As for the rest I thought Boone's funeral and post funeral scenes were really powerful and poor Kathleen, how wil she cope if her son continues as a hunter. I also love the increasingly distressing atmosphere as Dean's deadline approaches. Great work as always can't wait for more. Oh and in case you missed it in my review of Tidia's last story - I absolutely loved the next generation characters and relationships. Love the prospective triad - and again to see Josh and Carolyn's son destined to be Knight alongside Dean's great boys - love how the eldest seemed to have some Daddy approval issues too!
Author's Response: Oh, the Josh love has so tickled us in this story. We are still afraid Kripke will bring Joshua on the show and then kill him off like he did Caleb. ;-) It has been a long road for Dean to accept Josh, and yes, Tidia and I think Josh deserves the credit. If you read Tidia's story you know that far in the future Dean and Joshua's sons are bestfriends. It's a bumpy road, more of which you'll see as In victus continues but they find their mutual ground.

OMG!!! Boone---dead?! That really knocked me for a loop. I like that Joshua is interacting more as part of the new Triad. And I luuuuuv the change in Dean and how he carries himself! He's already becoming the Guardian. It was a sight to behold (even if it was in my own mind)! His advice to Riley was spot on. Ruby---now that bitch is worse than Rose because she wears the smile of a friend. Fleshing out her past with the horrors Joshua reveals got my blood pumping. They need to watch her at all times! Please hurry to post the next chapter! I'm dying for a fix! Hey, if this is your season finale, that means you're going to leave me with a wicked cliffhanger. Noooooo!!
Author's Response: Thanks for noting that Dean's changes are coming across. It means a lot, Ruby has been a challenge due to the show's choice of ways to deal with her. We are trying to mesh what we have planned and what Kripke has chosen to some degree. Of course, we can twist it in ways we would have liked to have seen it go. ;-) And if there is a cliffhanger, my next story will hopefully resolve it fairly quickly. Does that help?

The poem in the begining was very fitting thanks to the person who suggested itYou guys did a great job on the first chapter. Can't wait for the next! Great job too, with Josh character I have enjoyed reading how he has evolved from a character I thought I would hate till now a charcter that I like.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I held onto that poem for over a year. I loved it and thought it spoke to the Winchesters so well.

I can't tell you how long I have been waiting for this installment. I'm also glad you have brought Joshua in on more equal footing - I hope the trend will continue. For all his pompous attitudes, I always felt bad that he belonged neither in nor out.
Author's Response: Again, Josh has grown on me. Tidia really picked him up from that first story I used him and nurtured him into a character I really like. I love that he has all these flaws like saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, but the mistakes he makes are the ones any of us could make. I think his heart is in the right place and he epitomizes that part of everyone who ever felt that they just didn't belong. That probably sums it up for most of us at some point in time. So, although Josh isn't going to become perfect over night he will continue on his path.

Wonderful first chapter. I freely admit I hadn't realised that your previous story "The Beginning of the End" was a one shot and am very glad this story continues where that one left off. I love seeing the new Triad having to deal with being center of attention at Boone's funeral, but sorry that it had to be at Boone's funeral - a wedding between Boone and Kathleen would have been fun. I like that Josh has finally been accepted as the Advisor to the boys. I never did think he entirely desired the hard time they've given him in past stories. I appreciate that you and Tidia view this story as your series finale and as such its bound to be a traumatic and probably 'scary' story but I'm hoping for a happy ending, so I can send lots of virtual chocolate and cookies to you both.
Author's Response: It's so funny that you mentioned the Boone Kathleen wedding because Tidia and I would love to do a fun story like that. Although we totally try to stay away from any romance involving the boys there is always Esme and Mackland....hmmmm.

Very good, so worth the wait. I am glad you are writing more in this series. You have made this characters into friends who I come and visit often. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Author's Response: Thank you for saying that. Tidia and I go back and forth about how long we'll continue to write in the AU, but every time somebody says that the characters seem real and have become important to them, we're like...okay we can do this a little longer. ;-)
