Ooooh I liked this. Very short, but very nice. I love the unspoken promise. Both because it paints a different picture of John and also because it never came true. Because of the unresolved prophecy they boys never even knew of. Very nice :D
Author's Response: So glad you liked the unspoken promise--I, myself, am a sucker for irony. Also, I do believe John fully intended on making everything up to his boys, just... things continued for longer than he'd expected.
