Really loved this, Maggie. Especially the smooth change from the drama and angst to the lighter side of birthdays, cake and presents.
Poor Sam forgetting, though. And loved Dean's certain knowledge that Sam would beat himself up about it, despite Dean's worry that he didn't know his brother any more.
Season four was certainly an emotional roller-coaster ride, and you've encapsulated it perfectly in this story.
I see you've updated The High Road - I'm going to have to start reading your Something Lost series and catch up.

Excellent story, this makes my eyes water just reading it. Loved how you added Castiel into it at the last minute, that really made it more meaningful. You always capture the boys emotions so poignantly in each of your stories & did so repeatedly here.

OMG! I LOVE THIS! It started all sort of intense and then got so funny!
“Dude, I just came back to life, you don’t think he’d put my life in jeopardy by cooking?”
And don't forget 'Floppers'!!! My god, I was laughing so hard, I started to cry, not to mention almost spewing smoothie all over my computer!
I really liked the ending, though, my favorite line being, “It means that sometimes the most insignificant seeming moments can be the moments that save us.” Such wonderful sentiment and so very true.

Mags I loved this one, Bobby's always a plus and the shared stories were a hoot. Plus Dean asking Castiel if there was hope to be found was perfect.

I found this to be really funny, it was nice to read happy memories for a change, cant believe that Dean is 30 though, says me who is 30 next year
