I actually made it to this site for the first time tonight (after being encouraged for months). :D I had to register after I read your fic, just so I could have the chance to review it! I like how you took pieces of dialogue and concepts that were hinted at in this episode and expounded on them, gave them substance. It was sorely needed - simply to give us better insight instead of just the inferences into what Sam went through without Dean. Great Job!
Author's Response: Oh my god, thank you so much! I'm honored that you would register just so you could review my fic. It's 8am and you've already made my whole day! Thanks for that :) Enjoy the sight. There are so many amazing authors and such incredible stories here. I'm sure you'll love it! The next chapter of this should be up no later than tomorrow morning. -Brandi-

Wow, this was amazing! Such raw emotion with both Bobby and Dean. I think you should write another chapter. It would be great to see how Dean reacts when he sees Sam for the first time after knowing what he had been doing the entire 4 months. Again, amazing! ~Kayla
Author's Response: Thanks. There should be more angst to come soon. I'm already working on the next chapter.

Tears..... falling..... still...... a lot..... OMG, I can't find the words to describe how amazing this was. Right when I thought that with Dean being back from hell nothing would make me cry that much, you go ahead and write this! It was just awesome, I love how you describe Bobby's grief, and how he just has to let it all out after all those months. And Dean! GoD! The way he backed away, and how he slid to the floor and kept shaking his head denying everything although he knew it was true...Just breathtaking... Definitely want to see the brothers' reunion!
Author's Response: I must be some kind of sadist because I'm all exicted after hearing that I made you cry. Thank you so much for such a touching review. I'm all set to start the next chapter now. It should be out soon. :) Thanks again, you've totally made my day! ~Brandi~

I hope you will write another chapter. I loved the way you had Dean realize that he was wrong about Sam being strong enough to endure loosing him, yet on the other side unable to ever do anything else then what he did. The emotions were so raw and palpable. The same about the conflict he had about Bobby. I would love to see you write some Sam conflict and then the reunion. I think you would pull it off just as awesome as this. Hugs, Vonnie
Author's Response: Thanks! I know that Dean apologized and all for making the deal in NRftW, but I can't see him just letting Sammy go. Despite everything, I can def. see him doing it all again.

I really like this--I really wish we'd gotten more from both Bobby and Dean about Sam. Because they were a little concerned, but not nearly as much as I would have expected (or hoped). So this fits the bill quite nicely for me. I also really like that you give us a glimpse into what Sam went through--it humanizes him more than the ep itself managed to.
Author's Response: Oh wow, thanks! I loved the episode, but I was shocked that there wasn't more emotional fallout shown. Then, with Sam's comment about the devil's gate and the demons not wanting to deal, I had to run with this. Thanks so much for reviewing. I hope I didn't overdo it, but I was seriously craving some major chick-flick moments. -Brandi-

definitely continue. The story has a great start. One thing I noticed though, when Sam was holding the gun he had a picture in one hand and the necklace in the other. Was he holding the gun and the photo n the same hand?
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. About the gun, I probably should have described that a little more clearly. The image in my head was Sam sitting on the edge of a bed, a picture in his left hand and the gun laying in the palm of his right with the cord for the amulet wrapped around his fist so that the amulet itself was dangling kinda. I didn't want to go into too much detail about it all because this is just Bobby's retelling of the situation. I didn't give Sammy three hands though, honest, lol. Thanks again for the review.

Oh! This was so good! PLEASE write another chapter about the boys' reunion? PRETTY PLEASE?! GREAT JOB!!!
Author's Response: Aw, thanks! Wow, I actually got pleading? That ROCKS! Since you asked so nicely, I'll have to try and get you another chapter posted within the next day or so. So gald you enjoyed my little rewrite (there just weren't enough "chick-flick" moments for me!) of the premier. -Brandi-
