Oh boy, you certainly know how to keep ratcheting up the tension for your readers, my heart is in my mouth for the boys. I also admire you medical knowledge and the way you seamlessly incorporate it into the story. Keep up the great work. Wow! Another intense chapter. I absolutely love the way you portray John. Yes, he might have been harsh and rough sometimes but he loved his boys more than everything. Why else would he have made the deal to save Dean? Your writing style is amazing. Keep these updates coming, I'm on the edge of my seat :)

John's gonna have a heart attack? Sheesh... Love your portrayal of John, something we didn't get to see enough of. Many people paint him as an uncaring, relentless a-hole, but he's one of my favorite guys. Update soon!

and AGAIN with the cliffie - this fic is certainly earning it's title! but it's got some breathtakingly beautiful moments too - "I look at his hand, studying the shape, it's the same size as mine ... it used to be so small, used to fit around my fingers perfectly." "When I find myself again, I'm standing over the basin in the restroom ... water pouring down the drain as I stare at my reflection. Dark stubble, dark lines, deep wrinkles ... too pale ... and eyes, haunted eyes that shouldn't belong to me." love it - so vivid. thanks cal

and again I say "HOLY CRAP!" Dude- I dont think I've ever read anyone write John so absolutely raw, his emotions, his thoughts, his dreams and drive so openly portrayed.
Far too often- all we ever see in SN fic is BastardJohn - the dad that treated his boys like subordinates, that cared about revenge more than life, that didnt take care of them either emotionally or physically and worse still sometimes abused them... but.... while you certainly portray him as the flawed character I think we all know he is... you also give us a realistic glimpse into a father that loved his boys more than life itself... how else could he possibly have sacrificed himself for Dean in IMTOD if he were such a jerk as many make him out to be... Anyway- enough of my rant- well done- bitch of a cliffie- of course... and now I wait again ,,,

I just became aware of this story and I was instantly hooked! Read all 4 chapters in one piece and now I can't wait for more! OMG, it really deserves to be called "Cliffhanger". I love the way you change the POV's. Wonderful idea to have John offer Dean the Impala if he stays awake. Looking forward to the next update!
