Well wow!!!! A good story. Sams feeling has been well put .... I like the conversations that goes on between the brothers - AWESOME!!!
Pranami :)
Author's Response: Thank you. I love doing the brotherly moments. Sometimes I'd really love to be a fly on the wall (or in the Impala) for some of their more private conversations. Glad you enjoyed this........Jules

Cool - loved the ending. I have 2 brothers and a sister all well into our forties with our own children etc and we still play the 'I'm telling mum on you' card, so I loved Dean 'threatening ' to rat on Sam. Hope you manage to kick back and chill, you've had a rough year - have a gin and tonic for me - su
Author's Response: LOL - I'm in my forties, too, and every now and then I'll do the "I'm dobbing on you!" defence. Thanks for that. After all the angst, I had to have my happy ending. (keeping everything crossed that the wonderful Mr Kripke gives me that by the end of season 5...) I have managed to kick back and relax a bit - cleaning the house today, actually - well, supposed to be cleaning the house.... Had some wine last night and slept like a log. Wireless internet's not happening - couldn't get a signal, even though there's an Optus tower about 500 metres west of the house. So looks like I won't be moving too far into the future just yet - lol. Thanks for reading!....Jules

I'm a sucker for fragile Sam and I love how you never 'over do' it. I really enjoy all of your stories . It's brilliant if I see a story with your name next to it because I am assured quality writing, a superb natural style, excellent attention to detail and a different plot each time from somebody who knows the characters inside out and loves them as I do. Take a well earned break but have pity and don't be away too long. Ps have just twigged rating button d'oh . - su
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Su. I'm really gratified to know that I don't overdo it with Sammy - it's easy to get him wrong. That tough hunter/heart on sleeve is a wicked combination, and a bit of a juggling act. Top marks to Jared for pulling it off time and time again. Wow - thank you - seriously. I read this during a pretty tough time, and it practically brought tears to my eyes. It's lovely to know that all my hard work pays off, and the I can bring pleasure to people while staying true to the characters Kripke and Co have brought to life. And you're right - I do love the characters. I'd hate to get them wrong. And I promise - only a little break. Just enough to replace the batteries in the muse and give her a tune-up......Jules

They suck the hearts out of unborn babies?! Now that deserves a big YIKES. Great chapter, always love it when you're exploring their feelings and inner turmoils. Can't wait for your new modem to be up and running. And then a break... Will some bribery help to have you back faster?... ;)
Author's Response: That's a really big YUCK, isn't it? I wanted a yucky monster of the week that was fairly easy to kill, and I think I found a pretty good one. The gross factor was pretty high - lol. Aww, thanks hon. There's so much to explore with these boys - they keep so much to themselves, and then it just boils over at the most inopportune moments. Ahh, the modem - well, it's not up and running yet, but hopefully by Monday it will be all activated and working. And then a break - and believe me my friend, I need a break. Ummm, bribery? Well - let me think for a minute.....yep, bribery had a very high chance of working - lol....*hugs*......Jul

I really love the way you write. The Boys, including Bobby, sound so natural. can't wait for your next update
Author's Response: Thank you so very much. I'm chuffed that you like this. And thanks - that's a high compliment. I love Bobby, and there's no doubt I love the boys, too. They're so wonderful to work with as characters, and I thank Eric Kripke from the bottom of my heart for creating them - and for letting us play with them....Jules

Great first chapter, they really are a mixed up family, can't wait for the next update.
Author's Response: They are, aren't they? The biggest monster in their lives is talking about their feelings. And that's the one monster they just can't seem to defeat. They were both in so much pain after their father's death - and for different reasons. Hope you like the next chapter....Jules

Superbly wonderful, as always. Looking forward to the conclusion.
Author's Response: Thanks Vanessa. Hope you like the epilogue. Only a little story this time, but the subject matter only lent itself to two chapters. Longer ones coming after the break - lol....Jules

Really looking forward to the next part of this story.
Author's Response: Thank you for that. Hope you enjoy it. It's angsty, but this time I haven't hurt the boys....well, not too much....Jules

An awesome start. I loved this chapter.....and also sad to see sam so very broken. He has to talk to dean or else hes going to kill himself. Anyways waiting eagerly for the next chapter...... Once again an awesome chapter!!!!
Pranami :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much Pranami. He is pretty distraught, and so is Dean. Their father's death shook both boys right to the core. We saw how much John's death gutted Dean in S2 - I thought I'd just have a peek at how Sam was doing......Jules

Second half? it's a two-parter? then please don't break the boys too much! i get nervous when i know it was going to be a certain no. of chapters and they look quite bleak to start with! LOL
Author's Response: Promise I won't break anything I can't fix by the end of the story hon. And although it does look bleak, there's always light at the end of the tunnel....and this time, it's not the train coming - lol. Winchester brothers fix-up time coming right up!...Jules

Awesome story again, you just always do it. You have a great talent. Love the conflict and the way Sam is shutting Dean out. Bobby's helplessness and need to do something.. Can't wait for the next chapter here. Hugs, Vonnie
Author's Response: Aww, thanks Vonnie. Blushing now. Things come to a head in the next chapter - in more ways than one. Yes, Sam's gone on the defensive now, but his barriers are weakening. *hugs*.....Jules

Hey Jules Good luck with the changing the modem, you may need it!! This is a great story so far, looking forward to the rest of it. Cheers Mary x
Author's Response: Hi, Mary - and yes, we'll need the luck of the Irish I think. This wireless broadband stuff is complicated! That's why my auntie is doing it and not me! And as you can see, it's still not up and running - not yet. We can only call Monday to Friday during business hours to activate the SIM card for the wireless modem, so I'm still on the old ADSL for the weekend. Wish us luck on Monday. Thanks for the review - so glad that you're enjoying the little big of angst.......Jules

I really loved this stroy. Can't wait to see what happens next. I will be right waiting for the next chapter. I really admire your talent. Thanks so much for sharing your talent. hugs, Jane
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Jane. I really do appreciate that. I was actually inspired by Eric Kripke himself, after I read a comment in the S2 companion that he made about feeling he'd short-changed Sam's character by not showing how he'd been affected by their dad's death. Hope I do it justice....Jules
