Ok, i don't know how is it that you can think of such depressing situations for the Winchesters. Especially for Dean. I can literally (sort of) imagine this whole drama unfolding on my tv set. 

 

Having a sizeable lump in my throat now. *swallows and sniffs* 

Author's Response: Sorry it's taken so long to respond! I lived that depressing situation (to some extent) so making it Dean's was fairly easy. It needs to carry a tissue warning.

I've just finished re-reading this beautiful, heart-wrenching tale, I couldn't review it at first as it left me with emotions reeling.  It really is so desperately sad. 

That's one of the things I love most about the stories posted here, is that they can fill in the missing gaps hinted at but not seen in the TV series.

You covered all the bases here, baring Dean's inner-most soul for  all the world to see.  I cried my eyes out -all over the place actually - but particularly where he is lying in the hospital bed having told Sam what Sam needed to hear, silently sobbing/shaking with no-one to hear... That one will stay with me a long time!!

To get this much pain and angst out of Dean, without a single demon in sight was truly awesome!!  You really took everything away from him this time - even the ability to breathe alone, hands restrained.

I'd just like to thank you for such a roller-coaster ride of the emotions, it's left me feeling shattered.  Excellent stuff!!

Yours was the first fic i have ever read and i have to say that i still looking for a fic as great as yours. 

It was heart braking, i trully felt all the pain, every single cough as mine!!!!  I want to punch Daddy winchester and little Sammy because they were so focused in fighting that forgot the most important thing in the world: family , even with the worst crappy family ever you need them for breathing ( my family is worst than crapp but we need each other for living)

I cried like a crazy with this story. it should have been a real epi of the real Supernatural!!!!!!!

I don´t know enough english to let you know what this fic means for me!!!!

Your english is more than good enough and I want you to know I treasure every word.  One of the side benefits of writing this stuff is getting to meet the really nice people who are out there and you are definitely one of the nicest. We need more like you!

I cannot believe I haven't reviewed this - unless it was because I was so shattered by Dean being so shattered at the end of this story that I couldn't see through my tears!  That's a compliment of course, because you make me feel for the poor boy. There is lots of beautiful description (Dean's eyes like green glass, Dean on the ventilator, just Dean....) in this story, but I think that the main thing for me is that you demonstrate so clearly how completely Dean loves his father and brother. To the bitter, bitter end. Loved it on the first reading, love it every time I re-read it. Many thanks. (New best friend status pending?)
